My thoughts?
I think Eason stepped up big last night. Their should be no doubt on who our starting qb is going forward.
Our offensive line is pitiful, I don't know how things got this bad, but Jesus i just want it fixed. This might be the worst play I've seen by an offensive line in my life.
Special teams will cost us a game. I honestly can't believe we have a kicker that can't kick chip shot field goals. It's mind boggling to me that we've had special teams issues for so many years. But I've never been worried about us messing a 20 yard Field goal until this year.
Defense played well enough to win. They created 5 turnovers, but we have got to get points off of turnovers. And briscoe was getting picked on all night last night, he did get a pick, but still every big pass play we gave up last night seemed like it was bc he was getting burned.
Oh and I love Isaiah, he's a DGD.

The kicking game is awful. I don't see how we can't have anyone better than that.
we do...and I know I will catch hell for it and yall can all kiss my arse...but Brice Ramsey was a place kicker in MS and HS before he ever threw a spiral...he holds some school record for longest field goal at CCHS...why is he so wasted at UGA?...when HAM is a fricking shitty arse kicker...I could kick better than HAM. Get BR involved in the special teams or something for christs sake!!!

I was also going to bring this up but I didn't want to catch hell either.
Ramsey is a decent runner, decent passer, and if he can kick a 30 yard field goal then he's better than what we have right now, in multiple dimensions.

Not me. I have absolutely no problem with anybody on this board. I state an opinion and if people don't agree with it, then that's ok. It's just an opinion. But honestly, Deeprig...I don't have a problem with you and have never downvoted one of your posts.

kicking game sucks arse
o-line sucks arse
play calling sucks arse
kicking game sucks arse
say what you want....Eason became a fricking man last night....the way he stepped up...put the team on his shoulders and hooked up with IMAC over and over in a road game in the SEC was big time...no doubt he should be the starter unless he gets hurt or graduates or leaves early...but that kicking game...we should have been tied up there at the end...
FIRE HAM and the OLINE
Chubb seemed visibly frustrated...and yes I do agree with the play calling being a issue...but #72....was getting his arse whipped on every play...even with running back assistance...
oh...and Fire HAM!!

WTF are you talking about?DI'd you see What Chaney Has to work with at WR and O-line?Jesus,he did a GREAT job of spreading the ball around especially after Mizzou completely shut down our inside rushing game.

Was at the game last night on the hill surrounded by a sea of drunk obnoxious MU fans. We got taunted all night, would have been rough walking out of that place if we didn't pull off that comeback.
Felt great staying around for awhile after the game, still can't believe how that one ended.
Got to give our defense credit, over 300 passing yards first half, 50 some in the second. Concerns me that we have zero pass rush 3 games into the season but I think the defense continues to get better. What a fun game to be at. Loved seeing the other Dawgs fans who made the trip.

I have one. How the hell does Mizzou have these 6'0 plus receivers that run like gazelles and we don't? I think a couple of them are from GA too.
Also - Brent Mussburger is annoying and creepy.
Edit: another thing...I can throw a better spiral than Eason (albeit not as fast, far, accurate, etc) I'm surprised the best pro style QB in the country throws a wobbler.

I'll bet they were all 3* and we (Including everybody on this board) would have turned their noses up at them.

Blocking

Posted on 9/18/16 at 6:13 pm to TigerinUGA
I had a a-hole behind me yelling break his legs. Talking about Chubb. It was hard to not engage. Also had the guy that coached the anthem singer in peewee wrastlin sittin behind me. He was cool but his wife kept grabbing me and yelling in my ear when they scored

You say blocking... I watched the game on tape and watched the line.
They missed a few, but overall they had hats on people. That huge NG pushed back our center some and 91 beat some folks, but for 55 passes, they blocked pretty well.
The issue was they had 8 between the tackle gaps and we had 6 and some of our blocks were double teams. Watch it again. They didn't play awesome, but they were not lost or whiffing left and right as it seemed based on our runs.

I would hope our future opponents will respect Eason enough to not stack the box....but if our receivers other than IMac and maybe Godwin can't get separation we may be looking at 8 or more in the box a lot.
Didn't work out in the end for Mizzou but it's not like we rolled on these guys. This one felt like we stole it.

Peter Buck would know more about this than me, but it seems like we would be ahead to go mostly to a spread look. Teams can't put 8 in the box that way. It also simplifies the reads for Eason and fits our receivers better.

There were several times when Catalina's sole responsibility was to double-team #91. The dude straight whiffed at least twice...left standing there with his dick in his hands looking downfield with no one in front of him.
How you can watch that game and come away thinking the O-line played pretty well?!? I mean I get the whole contrarian angle, but this isn't the conversation to be a contrarian.

Thoughts:
1) hold campus tryouts for a new FG kicker - Ham pretty much panicked out there
2) hold campus tryouts for a new kick-off kicker - one who can put it deep into the end zone
3) run more from passing formations to utilize Chubb's field of vision
4) develop some kind of pass rush - ours is pathetic
5) don't always run the ball up the middle on 2nd and 10

I watched 80ish offensive plays. You are talking about 3 plays. Those were pass plays. Seeing that we passed the ball 55 times and he missed on a future NFL guy 3 times... Two of which when he appeared to have help that also missed, I feel like I am the one who actually is commenting on the facts of the game and not being an emotional count who saw a few bad plays and galvanized an opinion based on it...
Feel free to watch the game and and comment on my thread regarding the Oline where you see where he clearly blew an assignment. Post the times. Prove me wrong.

Smart keeps saying over and over that our o-line is not that big and can't really overpower people in the run game...can't get enough push.
I mean...obviously they are limited in some way because even with Missouri and Nicholls (Nicholls!!) playing to stop the run, running backs of the quality of Chubb and Michel ought to have found more holes than they did...
But as Smart also said, "There's no free agency in college football." We got what we got for now...

i get that, yet we keep running double TEs and then going at the A and B gaps. The numbers just aren't working.
