Funny...all those statements you listed but none of mine? I've said repeatedly: He isn't an elite QB, he benefitted immensely from loads of 5 star talent around him, and he has little if any NFL potential.
Maybe those were ommitted because they are still true. Winning the title doesn't change those.
Keep these threads going indefinitely! You few nuts just look nuttier the longer you go. Check the downvote counts for what most folks think (oh yeah, those are for hamsters).
As for those who predicted we would lose or made mean Stet memes...who really cares at this point? But like I said, the Stet Thought Mafia can start 10 posts a day... it's all good with me!

Seems like you are acknowledging how ridiculous y’all are acting. Good. That’s the first step to recovery.
Next step is stopping the douche moves altogether and then to do nothing but celebrating the national title and excellence of our program under Kirby.

Nah, frick you. Y’all shite on this season. We are gonna shite on you now. The winds of Thor are blowing cold.

shite, I know plenty of people with a spouse and kids that are bitter.
And while they are wonderful to have in your life they don't always keep you from being bitter towards certain things. Let it go.

That would be no fun

Maybe some did, but it came from decades long frustration, which makes it understandable, and the SECCG validated their concerns.
IS that an excuse for you to be shitting on the national title celebration, as you are proudly doing? Nope, that isnt a excuse for douche moves.

You forgot the last one PB.
Even though he won the NC, he’s not gonna be drafted.
That’s the most perplexing to me. I could care less if any of our QBs EVER get drafted as long as the keep bringing those titles home.

Agree and the worst part is they followed the trolls down that path.

I want to take you at your word.
In the last thread that you assured me you were cool as a cucumber, you had a monteg moment less than 24 hours later.
I understand trolling.
I understand receipts.
I understand venting.
You appear to me to be doing those wrong (if those are your intent). I dont want to go freud on a message board. Dont say "not bitter". Try acting "not bitter".
Cheers and Go Dawgs.

I assume there is a disconnect in our context in all of this. The devil mocks their every step.

Yours was probably encapsulated in this:
Derp, the defense beat UF
And what on earth did those particular points have to do with Georgia winning a Championship, or why Bennett should or should not be our QB?
No bearing whatsoever, and yet you still want to bring them up. Tell you what....I have to go our for a bit. When I get back I will be more than happy to go through your posts and show you how stupid they were.

Here's a teaser of one of your Hot Takes:
He's great against any team that's outclassed by us in talent. Maybe he'll be Buck Belue II if the defense shows up Jan 10.
Ftr, Buck Belue was 1/12 in his title game....and we did not outclass Alabama in talent.
One more then more later:
He doesn't have to. He owes his existence to our defense, plus Bowers and Cook. He'll go as far as they can go...
And yet he was named MVP of ...dare I say it?....a big game. This was THE big game, was it not?
I mean, after the Michigan game y'all said it was A big game but he couldn't win THE big game.

The 1980 team centered around a great defense and on offense, Hershel. There is a parallel. Bennett was much more the Buck Belue to the current team than he was the Hershel. Bennett did not "carry" this team the way a player like Herschel carried his team. I have zero doubt that there were 30+ QBs in college football who, if you stuck them on the team in place of Bennett at start of this past season, would have resulted in the same outcome. So, I laugh when reading statements about how he is the greatest QB in UGA history or how he has developed into an elite QB.
Bennett, like Belue, in 10 years will be largely remembered in GA and forgotten elsewhere. He'll be remembered as the QB of a national title team, while some of his teammates will be NFL legends all over the country by that time. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just the reality.

Still believe that was the case. To make it more accurate, I should have also mentioned our OL, which was stellar - especially when they finally moved Salyer inside.

y'all said it was A big game but he couldn't win THE big game.
Maybe you should name posters if you're going to say, "y'all." I never said that we couldn't win the big game. In fact, I predicted multiple times that we would win. Feel free to go through threads if you would like to verify that.

And yet here you are wanting them to stop.
How does my statement, Keep these threads going indefinitely! - which I just made a few posts above - equate to me wanting anything to stop?
I have barely over 3300 posts here in 10 years. You have almost 50,000 in 9 years. You must be spending some major time here...that's an average of 15 posts a day. That's fine but my point is, I really don't care as much as you seem to think about who disagrees with me or criticizes my comments on a football forum. Aren't boards like this mainly for entertainment?
Not your quote but included here:
quote:
I could care less if any of our QBs EVER get drafted
Great, you don't. I do. That's a difference of opinion. Who cares? I would like to see UGA putting QBs in the pros and them being successful in the pros more often. The last was Stafford, almost a decade ago. (And did we win a title with him? No, but context matters...imagine Stafford as QB of the 2021 team...might have been best team in college football history).

True.
quote:False, unless you want to focus on one area. Defense. But the 1980 defense wasnot nearly as good as ours this year.
There is a parallel.
quote:He was not meant to. I can name you half a dozen Alabama QBs that did not carry their team. They won titles though and I would be willing to bet they didn't take half the crap you gave Bennett....and would argue Bennett was a good as they were.
Bennett did not "carry" this team the way a player like Herschel carried his team.

I'll bet I can find a post saying Bennnett was garbage or trash or somehting along those lines. I can show you posts where it was said Bennett could not wn a national Championship Game. He cannot win THE big game. Georgia would not win the title if Bennett was the starter. All of those statements were false. Yet you backed them all up.
Your whole post and argument is morphing from Bennett is garbage and we can't win to Bennett is not great?
You should own your words.
Admit you said dumb things. Admit Kirby knew what he was doing. Admit Georgia won a national Championship with Bennett as their starting QB.
But you won't. You cannot admit that Stetson Bennett won a national Championship as QB of the Georgia Bulldogs, and you were wrong.
quote:I was going to drop this. but since you responded, okay. I'll dig through the posts and name names and I'll show some of the dumb things you said. I used Y'all because you were not the only person saying stupid things. You had plenty of lap dogs nodding their heads and agreeing...trying to show they were smart.
Maybe you should name posters if you're going to say, "y'all." I never said that we couldn't win the big game. In fact, I predicted multiple times that we would win. Feel free to go through threads if you would like to verify that.
So tomorrow morning I'll dig through threads and post a few gems.

Take Jay Barker for instance. He is still revered by Bama fans and he had no NFL skills. He could literally pistol whip his wife and they would still love him.
