10 to 15 yards of (ball flight) per exchange, I will stand by that.(maybe 30 versus Vandy)
38 yards net. Sounds about right, if you can't kick it 40 yards in the air there's not much return yardage.

Barber is only a freshman and should get better

Damn dude. If Barber is still at Georgia he's working on his masters and is out of eligibility. Marshall Long started the year punting but suffered a severe knee injury.
We need a punter

think we need to come to grips with the fact that there is a good chunk of this fan base that is never going to put the heat on Kirby to actually win football games.

This sounds absurd considering we fired Donnan and Richt. Are you sure you have the correct fan base?

But he averaged 41.4 yards in the air. He was only 3 yards out of 10th in the nation.

Really? I don't know why I thought he was only a Freshman.

2018 should be the year, not 2017

If Eason's not ready in 2017 he won't be in 2018 either. I'm confident the Oline will be bigger stronger, overall just lights out better. The Defense was good this year with mostly Freshmen and sophomores. 2017 they too will be bigger stronger and more experienced. The key to making it to Atlanta is keep Chubb and Michel healthy. Dam I can't wait

You missed Barber's career at UGA apparently Dawgslife.

It happens when you get older and time moves so quickly.

Well this idea makes no sense whatsoever.

Not sure about "lights out better", but it should be improved. Much improved.

A true Freshman is doing it at Bama. Eason (the chosen one) can't do it as a sophomore with all the pieces around him?

I admittedly pay very little attention to the punter.

Let's just say that he should be noticeably improved next year. Most QB's can make a significant leap in the sophomore year....but they should also continue that improvement into their junior year.

There is not a single area on the team that we should not be improved at, that i can think of, though, so i would think we could win the East in 2017, easily. Wouldn't you agree with that?

Do what? Murray and Stafford were both better as juniors than as sophomores, and I fully expect Eason to be as well.

Yes. The Mulligan year is almost over. 2017 needs to show a lot of improvement and I bet it will.

I agree 100%. I think Kirby will be hitting on all cylinders in the coming year. I believe we are in for a very, very good year. Now, if I can avoid getting hit by a car, or having a heart attack, I will get to see it!

See? We CAN agree on something!

I am about to turn 60 in February. I retired early from a real job at Delta Air Lines. I KNOW how fast the world can slip away!

We SHOULD win 10 games next year. Easy-arse schedule and tons of returning starters at key positions

If we can't run the football, we would have to win nail biters against bad opponents to get 10 wins.

I am not convinced that the run game is improving unless we can show an upgrade at Center.

We have a lot more flexibility this cming year. Signing the OT from Jr College and getting Isaiah Wilson was huge. That gives us the ability to move the OLineman of our choice over to Center and then we have a log jam to figure out who our Guards are going to be. If the Ol is not greatly improved over last year, we should take a long hard look at Pittman. He has a track record, so coaching should not be an issue.

If we can get netori and Wilson ready, we will have a massive talent upgrade on the ol.

If Eason's not ready in 2017, Fromm might be. The OL will be bigger, but they will also be younger. That's a tough position to just walk in to as a freshman. The defense was good...at times. They will need to be more consistent, and not just good. Don't forget the WR position. They looked pretty bad at times in 2016. I absolutely expect a much better season in 2017, but there is no question there are areas of concern.

With Chubb and Michel coming back, we've already lost a top RB recruit. Look for one or more of the freshmen to transfer for playing time. We will be very good at RB but not as deep as we need to be.
The incoming freshmen OL recruits will be a great help as backups and for depth on the line. Same for the DL recruits coming in.
Better hope Eason improves on accuracy or we will be 3rd in the East yet again.
