They are new to 12 teams and are making it easy on themselves by looking at how many loses only all while sitting around together sipping on champagne and caviar.
That meat head they have on to explains it all. That's the best they have to show up on camera and break it down ?

the guy in charge is an idiot. Like truly sounds like he has no clue what to do. I'm sure him being a big10 guy doesn't help matters either.

Yep, not considering strength of schedule is an obvious problem.
The lesser conferences should not have an automatic seat at the table for that reason.
The 12 teams should be the best teams based on a formula similar to the BCS formula. A human selection committee immediately introduces bias.
Meanwhile, some really good teams in the SEC are knocking each other off which puts our conference at a decided disadvantage when the only apparent criteria is wins/losses.

I can't wait to smash PSU or Indiana in the first round

Thinking their job is to get as many TV markets involved. Welcome to the playoff show you always wanted.

I don't mind, I am just saying they suck at this already.
GA getting in is all that we should care about. From there, its up to the team to take it to the finish line

Yeah but there’s three levels to getting in
First round bye .
First round home game.
First round away game.
So I do care about getting in higher to get that game in athens. The crowd matters in college.

Agree with you but UGA has looked like a hot mess in several of their games this season. Win out and they are in. When the 12 game playoff was first mentioned, I knew this was going to be a shite show.

I think I can make a more rational case for something like the ranking below than anything the committee has put forth:
Oregon
OSU
Indiana - temporarily. Getting the feeling they’re going to get railed by OSU.
Alabama
OM
UGA
Tennessee
Texas
Penn State
ND
A&M
Miami
Boise
BYU
SMU

They don't consider SOS or quality wins.

Road game increases our chances of losing substantially..like 80% of the “big” wins this year have been home field for teams.

DawgNation Daily podcast fan? Same champagne and caviar line was used on that show.

No matter what they tell you, the only number that matters to them is the number in the loss column.

Actually, that is what they use when they want to justify spreading the equity.

I wish someone would take the effort to go back and bump threads from 10 years and more ago where playoff expansion and NIL were debated…

I prefer the playoffs I just think it’s big10 heavy committee and they are biased
GA is getting in and that’s all I care about regardless of seeding
