You've hit on about everything, but I'll add a couple of observations...

Danbridge looks like he's got a great future at WR.

Bo Walker looks like a freakun bowling ball. I'd say we're going to see him get some more carries.

Phillips' speed is as good as advertised, but he doesn't seem to have good field vision. He just runs into a pile without making any kind of moves.

Our TEs are just ridiculous. Finding a way to get them all on the field and making plays seems to be Bobo's biggest goal now.

Execution was great. Except for penalties.

They took points off the board. And kind of gave the 3 points that tsu earned.

If we are trying to become a more explosive offense, it would stink to negate them with penalties.

Defense looked great.
Opposing offenses are going to dink and dunk on us. That is just about all they have. I didn't see any holes in the run defense. I can't see QBs having a lot of time to stand still in the pocket.

It will be interesting to see what more QB pressure looks like against mobile QBs.

Something was odd about that. An FCS team on the road opening weekend, and they played penalty free until the officials decided to ding them with a couple in the last two minutes of the game. Usually in a blowout, that's when they stop calling them. Meanwhile, Georgia racks up 85 yards of mostly big ones. Canion got hit with offensive pass interference, which we get way more than we deserve from SEC officials. They called Calhoun for a split second hold that was behind the play, another one that happens all the time without being called. JJA got two hands to the face calls, and I saw lots of those not getting called in other games this weekend.

Interesting take on Puglisi. I guess maybe he isn't the heir apparent to Gunner and will have to work. Hopefully he's not the next Joe Cox, Hutson Mason, and Brock Vandergriff.

I'm not complaining that we got called for some penalties. I'm saying if they're gonna call them, then do it evenly. I don't care if it's Tennessee State or Ohio State, call the game fairly. If the officials decide to fudge sometimes, they'll do it any time it suits their fancy.

based on the very limited action we've seen from everyone, that would appear so. It wouldn't shock me if our 2027 starter is playing for another team right now.

Montgomery looked solid but I mean it was a 1AA team. Puglisi has had several years now but just seems to have that brice ramsey syndrome.

I know a loooooooooooot can and will change before then, but if we want jayden wade to come here in '28 and actually stick around unlike fields, I wouldn't mind just going 1 year senior transfer in 27 as a bridge then let wade run it for the next 3 years after that.

Montgomery looked better, saw the field better, and throws better.

Pug will be UConns QB next season if I had to guess.

What section is your boy in? (Edit I just saw your answer) This is my son's third year in the Redcoats. He plays the baritone. Hopefully they can get a couple extra post season game this year.
