Or maybe he will die too because he is driving 200 mph in a circle with other cars all full of fuel with only some gay looking jump suite to protect them.

They're racing on a road course today. Not a circle.

There is no way any jury would ever call that murder or anything close to it.

Big boys big toys and a terrible accident. Both guys made a bad decision. Don't get out of car like a loose cannon. As for Tony it seems he wanted to send a !message and it went wrong.

I want to know how Stewart describes what happened.

Is he saying that it was a total accident... that he was trying to avoid the kid..... or that he didn't see him?

Or........is he admitting that he was trying to send a message by getting close to him and gunning the engine and that it got away from him and was an accident?

Side Note: I was reading an article not too long ago and I clicked on a link at the bottom called "Celebrities that have killed people" or something like that........

ANway, it was shocking how many there were. Most of them were from being involved in car crashes where the other driver was killed. Former first lady Babara Bush......Ferris Bueller..........Vince Neil from Motley Crue. A bunch of them.

Crazy.

ESPN.com is where I first saw the story. They are presenting it as an accident. They push the news. There is no call for public outrage so this will be forgotten in a week.

Just an absolute exercise of stupidity watching the Huffington video.

Looked to me like the kid got directly in front of Tony, and instead of stopping, he went left, but then the kid also went left, so Tony guns it harder left to try and make it around him, but the back right wheel hits the kid, which slows down the right tire while the left tire is still spinning and has traction. This makes the front of the car go right. So it sorta looks like Tony purposely turned right, but I don't think that's the case.

Now I do think Tony was like, "frick you, I ain't stoppin.", but I think he was trying to veer left and swing around the kid.

Logic and physics tells me if the left wheel is un impeded and spinning faster than the right wheel which is impeded and spinning slower, the front of the car is going to veer right.

And obviously, the front of the car was left of the kid when contact was made. He didn't get hit by the front of the car, he got hit by the back right wheel. So the front of the car was clearly veering left, away from the kid.

I think the physics are on Tony's side on this.

Brilliant move by Stewart if he doesn't race him killing the guy gets mentioned half a dozen times. If he does race this weekend it gets mentioned and psycho analyzed 100 times on the air.

Good.

Speaks volumes though, imo, that he even considered racing today. Unless he's in shock still and isn't thinking straight.........

All the quotes coming out about it being "business as usual" at Steward-Haas today and that he was still going to race make them look fricking horrible....

Lots of cowards in the media too, imo, that didn't point out what a bizarre and horrible decision it was when he was still saying that he was gonna race.

Its a pretty big leap to think TS intententionally tried to run over that kid. He's a hothead but that's just psychotic and its not a natural reaction to aim for a person running out in front of you. Also, as was mentioned before if you run out onto an active track trying to shout out a guy you're taking a big risk.

Maybe this will help it sink in to these guys that this isn't hockey and people get killed when you get out there and either try to put somebody in the wall or want to fight a guy when things don't go your way.

Jeesh Jefferson,

I don't like NASCAR or Sprint racing, mainly for the reasons presented so vividly last night, but thousands of people depend on a paycheck that's directly tied to TS racing today... It's his job to race and it's somebody else's to step in and say no it's a bad business decision.

You have to leave all that personal shite at the door or you become the next statistic.

If you killed someone in a wreck even unintentionally I'd hope you'd take the next day off work

I don't think that he intentionally hit him, but I'd be very wiling to bet that he was trying to scare or spook him by getting very close.
