Hey everyone, first post here.

I'm curious as to why we don't run more slants. We threw one against Auburn for 5 yds. We threw two yesterday. Kearis dropped the first one but he was open, and the second slant went for 8yards. I feel like we could help loosen Fromm up with some easy slants and get the linebackers to back up just a little.

I dont' have a clue, the only thing I can fathom is that cager is just so unbelievably vitally crucially important to our passing game that when he's out we simply can't do much. In games he's been out we've looked like trash, in games he's in we look 10x better. Pickens could be a true #1 but is still young and learning, and he's also an outside guy, he's not really your slant guy. I like kearis and dom but they aren't true #1 go-to receivers so when cager is out it essentially forces them to be. Landers and simmons aren't even worth mentioning.

It is my hope that we rest cager again this week for our warmup game and the LSu game plan resemblesl the one we had against UF, which I thought was outstanding.

Seems our QB likes throwing to the outside more. So tell him to start throwing over the middle or else...

Solid strategy.

Slants are easy to spring a trap on. We almost got one yesterday.

Well, he's had an under 50% completion rating in the past three games so it's not really working, is it?

You said yourself, we are running slant routes, and even throwing to them in every game. You just think it should be more. That's fine. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

You know what I think? I think we need to run more post routes with a trailing route, or a following route in some nomenclature.

Well, with Coley as our OC I doubt either of us will get what we want.

Idk if they’re open as much as it seems. Fromm isn’t that tall and the defense crowds the box so they’re in the passing lanes. Gotta pass a little more effectively and randomly to have them be consistent options

I like this one because the receivers take off to get the db's turned and the rb takes the robber out of the middle, so wr comes back to open field. Drawing not to scale, it's just conceptual.

LSU runs a metric fk ton of slants and crossing routes and their big recievers always get open.

Completely agree. We need him 100% healthy for LSU (and hopefully, beyond the SECCG).

Your first post is supposed to be pics of your wife and/or girlfriend's tits.

So we need to see some tits before anyone around here takes you seriously.

Well...he likes throwing to the outside more so we should eliminate a 1/3 of the field for his preference. This is what NFL teams like in a QB. Should translate well to the next level.
