He started 4 games in 2020, 6 or 8 in 2021, and all of 2022.

Just to be clear, the guy who appeared in 42 games…. Threw for 8400 yards and 66 TDs to be the #4 QB in UGA history, only started for 1 season?

Because he sucked…don’t you remember the game threads?

But to be honest, I would prefer a taller faster QB who is a true dual-threat.
In college football, being able to effectively run a run-pass option offense puts huge pressure on even the best defenses: you come up to stop the run and you leave receivers open, you stay back to cover receivers and the QB gets an easy 5 yards running the ball.
Just imagine being able to run the GT or Vandy offense with elite players.

Stetson started 5 (of 10 total) games in 2020, including several with injured fingers splinted on his throwing hand, 12 games in 2021, and 15 games in 2022, for a total of 32 starts as a UGA quarterback. The last 26 games were consecutive. A good summation is that he was Georgia's starter for about two and a half seasons from 2020-2022.

During that three season span, JT Daniels started for about half a season, which was a reasonable opportunity to see if he could stay healthy and live up to his substantial arm talent. And D'wan Mathis started for one game.

Second and twenty-six in overtime was the only reason Fromm didn't deliver a natty.

2nd and 26 doesnt end the game if we score a TD in OT 1.

So basically one season?

with Rashada transferring the only other option is Puglisi. I don't think Kirby would slight a guy that has worked in the program for 3 years by bringing a 5 star guy in. He brought JT and Newman in but that was when our best QB option for D'wan Mathis. I would like to see Kirby sit QBs that are struggling for at least a few snaps or drives. There were times where Beck was struggling I thought it might have helped level his head to pull him a few snaps. That's just not what Kirby does. The only scent of a 2 qb system was when he would bring Field in for red zone offense and that was never really very effective.

I agree with you he started two seasons. The 2020-2021 season he didn't start out as a starter but to me he still was the starter nonetheless cuz JT never got his job back.

Give Gurlygirl a break. She’s been on this forum and other boards carrying the flag and mixing it up with us knuckleheads for a while now. Plus, IIRC she’s not a youngster so she’s coming from the heart and not talking shite.

Which is more than I can say for a few of the posters here.

Eh, she clearly tries but she really doesn't know the game.

I applaud her for trying, but it's pretty obvious.

I wish many of our fans invested time in learning how football works. It could really change their outlook on things and make it more fun to watch.
