We really need to know Gunner is the starter, so people can shite on him and suck the back up’s cock. These are confusing times.

I shite on him early in the season but I liked how he played against ND.

Gunner played well in the SECCG and is obviously tough as nails after seeing him take that vicious hit vs Texas and not fumble.

But to be honest, I would prefer a taller faster QB who is a true dual-threat.
In college football, being able to effectively run a run-pass option offense puts huge pressure on even the best defenses: you come up to stop the run and you leave receivers open, you stay back to cover receivers and the QB gets an easy 5 yards running the ball.
Just imagine being able to run the GT or Vandy offense with elite players.

Teams who had like 4 or 5 losses? You want to be like them?

That’s Gunner or really any QB that’s not a statue. Hell Beck can do that when it clicks in his head to go. Getting five when the defense all drops isn’t hard if you get a lane and they don’t spy you.

There are only so many Jayden Daniels that come around so often. Hell, Milroe was that guy until he got screwed in the head and forgot how to pass….or never learned how to read defenses.

I wonder if the schools with a running QB wish they had a guy that could read defenses, get them in the right play and throw a layered ball over the middle into a tight window?

While we're on the subject of Tennessee, I wonder if Iamaleava's having any second thoughts about his choice of teams. You can only get so many cracked helmets before it becomes an issue.

Probably looking at a Fromm purgatory where he isn't bad enough to bench, but it's obvious he's not going to lead us to a chip.
Second and twenty-six in overtime was the only reason Fromm didn't deliver a natty. If we had a young Fromm I wouldn't worry as much.

Obviously the coaches don’t know shite about evaluating QB’s and Kirby isn’t a fan of competition so we know the position will be awarded to whomever they like best regardless of performance.
So explain why Kirby was so determined to get rid of Stetson Bennett. I have some doubt about Kirby's ability to pick the right guy.

Yup, we know you're solidly in the Rashada camp

I think she meant teams whose quarterback has the life expectancy of a crash test dummy.

Only thing I question is, Stetson showed Kirby the way and how a mobile QB helps immensely. I just don't understand why for the life of me we don't recruit or get a portal QB very similar. I get we had brought in Rashada, but I knew he wasnt it from watching him in home games at ASU.

Stetson started for one year, not two. In 2021, Daniels was the starter until he couldn't go. Even after Stetson won the natty over Bama he had serious doubts that Kirby would favor him in 2022.

Stetson Bennett, in retrospect, is the most important player to ever play for UGA. He stirred the drink.

Gunner seems like a Fromm type where he could be really good in an offense that relies on an effective running game. His arm seems decent and he has enough mobility to roll the pocket but not on designed runs. Can’t rely on him to carry the offense though.

We don't know about him running, Texas and Notre Dame were both top shelf defenses

Just to be clear, the guy who appeared in 42 games…. Threw for 8400 yards and 66 TDs to be the #4 QB in UGA history, only started for 1 season?
