feel for you. Traffic is absolutely miserable out there now.

One of my wife's college friends lives in Pooler and you're not kidding about the traffic.

The airport being there doesn't help matters

The airport isn't the issue. The issue is the gazillion apartment complexes going up on and around Pooler Parkway. Southside Savannah has the same problem right now.

The worst part about pooler traffic is if you have to commute into Savannah for work in the morning on 16 like my lady does. Easily takes her an hour minimum for what is in other situations a 15 min drive tops. I work in Statesboro at the university so I go the opposite direction on 16 and still ends up taking around the same time even though it’s much further

Care to explain why you think it’s not south GA instead of just stating it like it’s fact when it seems most people here from the area consider it to be

South Georgia is not just based on geography. It's cultural

Savannah does not have the culture of South Georgia

Savannah is low country/ coastal...sure it's technically in the lower half of the state but that doesn't mean you're in South Georgia

It feels like you’re splitting hairs here a lot. Downtown Savannah, where we also own a townhouse on 37th street is largely as you put it, most of us are discussing immediate surround suburbs of Savannah like RH in my case and Pooler and others for other posters. These areas definitely do largely carry the culture you’re speaking of.

Still not South Georgia

Just like St. Simons isn't South Georgia

You being from Savannah, I don't expect you to understand

16 sucks arse. Only time I'm that way I when I go to my doc on Chatham Center. Stay away from that road

Traffic out of Rincon in the mornings is major bitch - more often than not it backs up from Rincon to 95

It is truly awful. Even with 516 able to siphon off certain traffic it’s a hell hole heading the direction of Savannah at any point Monday- Friday from like 645 to 845-9
