I think the likely scenario is the coaches were straight with him and said without Spring practice and a questionable Summer, the odds of him being a starter next year were slim, and possibly encouraged him to transfer. Maybe it's not because he's a shite head, maybe it's just shite timing on his injury.

There are plenty of things one could criticize about his play and some of his off field stuff. People are not doing that though. I think Beck is an early side effect of large NIL money for QBs.

You can't have a fair QB competition when one guy gets $4m-$5m NIL, you can't yank them for QB2 because you look like a fool to your donors.

What we have is a bunch of weak minded fans who can be led around like sheep by internet propagandists. People read a steady barrage of innuendo and propaganda on the internet and they start to believe. They've turned a good season against a very tough schedule into a "disappointment", despite the fact that we'd probably still be playing if Carson Beck wasn't injured. With the guidance of some internet "influencers", they've lumped all of the receiver attrition (NINE)/struggles, the RB injuries, the OL inexperience, some poor blocking from the TE's, into one big Carson Beck character assassination blame fest. That's the ticket, our quarterback is the enemy.

Carson got tattoos. Carson drives a Lamborghini. Carson has an "influencer girlfriend". Carson's not a leader. Carson wanted his own appartment at the age of 22. Did you see Carson grimace when that receiver dropped a pass, he's a sourpuss. The injury was Carson's fault because held the ball too long on a hail Mary play. Carson didn't want to rejoin the team (after the character assassination was in full force). None of Carson's team mates came to his side (while the play was still going).

And now the final fatal blow to Carson Beck's status as a Damn Good Dawg; Saturday down South wrote an article. There it is in black and white. Good riddance and bring on the next sucker willing to play QB for the University of Georgia.

Nope, same exact story except it ended with an injury and only one SEC championship. If Beck hadn't been injured, or if Georgia had been selected for the playoffs after losing an SECCG, like 2021, it could well have included a national championship.

Go back and read any UGA board after Georgia lost to Bama in 2021 if you don't believe me. Or after any close game, or any game where Stetson wasn't perfect. The only thing that was anti-Stetson Bennett was the UGA fanbase.

I think it's absolutely hilarious to see everyone kiss stetsons arse in here when half the board was pissed off that he was coming back in 22'.
