I missed that. Look, I don't have a side in this whole thing. Beck seems like a douche. That's as far as I'll go. That kind of behavior by UGA, if that was intentional, seems petty though.

I hope he has a good year and goes high in the draft next year.. Hopefully he does not get caught up in the world he’s put himself in, and loses his way! But as far as how this whole thing panned out, it stinks.. someone is not telling the truth, and will eventually come out, it always does!

Yep, time to move on kids

Little too late for that.
If Kirby couldn't break through to keep him focused, I'm not sure who will. Especially if, as we've heard, his dad is very active in Carson's decisions and this is what we're seeing.
The change has really been incredible to watch. YEARS in the program, happy to sit in the background as a backup with only garbage time appearances. When he got the starting gig and came out firing, his interviews revealed a pretty humble dude who clearly didn't give a shite about his personal appearance, his numbers, just wanted wins. He was awkward, to say the least.
Fast forward through the 2023 season and we arrive in summer of 2024 with this humble kid entering the season as a Heisman frontrunner. All of a sudden he's tatted up, shaved head, playing scared of injury, showing indifference to mistakes/picks, accepting a free Lambo lease, hooking up with some instaho living hundreds of miles away, face paint, Kirby CLEARLY handling him with kid gloves saying he had a good game after throwing 3 picks in a loss....just a completely different person and competitor. To go from that humble kid in 2023 to a clear diva in the course of a calendar year is a perfect example of what fame and money can do to a person and how quickly it can do it.
Dude needs someone in his ear keeping him grounded. I think last season he was more interested in the sideshow than the main stage and I'm not sure moving to Miami, a place thriving on the the lifestyle he clearly enjoys, is a great career decision. The payday is, but not convinced it's good for his future.
I really do want the best for him. I can't look in the mirror and say, at his age, I wouldn't have been trapped by the money, women, fast cars, and inflated ego that comes with success at a major program. It's got to be tough to stay grounded.

Well, his tiktok partying on yachts posts sum that up. Good riddance.

Apparently Buck has said on 680 the Fan that Bobo is stepping down next week. Any legs to this story?

Rusty has denied that pretty consistently all year. May be running cover for his boy though idk.

A friend of mine was mentoring him the last year. Said he was lonely and missed his mom. The cars, women, and tats all lead me to believe he was trying to fill a personal emptiness. All that to say I don't think his head was on straight. All the talent in the world can't save you from poor decision making.

If Buck is putting it out there, it probably does.
Also said that Kirby reached out to Faulkner to come back and he said that he's staying at Tech for now.

There saying the same thing that belue said on there although one guy said Kirby asked Faulkner and Faulkner said No..
Did him or Kirby have a falling out or is it he just probably doesn’t want to leave GT?

From Rusty

Haven’t heard the quote from Buck Belue yet but I would be very surprised if that was the case with Mike Bobo. He is out on the road today and is seeing some key targets next week some key recruits coming in town for the February 1 weekend. Not sure where all these rumors are coming from the last week or so but I’ve heard nothing that tells me he is retiring.
Never say never in this world I learned that a long time ago,
but I’ve heard nothing that tells me he is retiring or stepping down for an analyst role in Georgia at all not one ounce.

Probably the latter.
If we do replace Bobo, I’d look for a NFL person to be headed this way. Buster is convenient since he still lives in the Athens area.

frick… kinda hope Rusty is wrong. I know I’m bad for saying that. Just would like someone from the outside. JMO.

Nope. That pussy saw his money and is doing what all gold diggers do. Look at him, without money he'd maybe score a 2 or 3.

I told y’all there were changes coming. Be patient.

Just be careful what you wish for…there a lot more Coleys and Cheneys out there than there are Monkens.
I personally am okay with Bobo because I know he loves the school and will stay for a while if we let him. There is something to be said for consistency and not having a revolving door of coordinators. I’d rather give a guy like that the chance to evolve rather than bring in the new guy who leaves in 3 years for a HC job.

And TBH, Buster isn't that great IMO.

Buster is like your girlfriends best friend who has a nice rack and you hear she likes to use her mouth. Sounds hot.
