Any insight here? Apparently he was in a boot and on crutches yesterday.

Nothing other than in a walking boot

So far no specifics let out. Often boot + crutches is just a means of trying to protect and get a sprained ankle to heal faster. Kirby's comments about injuries the other day was so far nothing worse than some mild concussion protocol stuff and some ankle sprains, so would seemingly probably be Salyer to go along with Dean.

Precautionary. Always have players on crutches and walking boots throughout the week to reduce swelling faster and help with recovery. Don’t think there is anything to worry about here

I'd doubt that it is strictly precautionary given that he missed a scheduled media appearance:

The AJC reported yesterday that Salyer was seen on crutches at the UGA facility. He was scheduled to speak with reporters but was unable to come up after yesterday's practice and this is likely the reason why...

I haven't been able to get any specifics but the early indications are that this isn't anything major. Palmer Thombs saw him out at practice yesterday although he wasn't going with the No. 2 unit as usual. A lot of times being on crutches and in a walking boot is a lot less serious than it looks because it aids in the healing process for a sprained ankle, foot, etc.

But as I said above, I don't see the boot + crutches as necessarily any indication of anything particularly worrisome yet either.

Kirby is fricking with Vandy. He’ll have 30 players wearing walking boots by the last practice

Kinda sucks having a Conference game on the road 1st game in. Even a OOC road game we can travel with 85, being a SEC game we can only take 70...

Lotta guys gotta sit this one out and injuries plus trying to work in the new guys is gonna be a minor struggle getting the roster right...
