Monkin was on a staff that got fired in the NFL. He is possibly leaving now, to go back so he can pick his own staff....

He needed the money...

He didn't need the money and he was still in high demand for OC jobs. He can pick his own staff if he goes to a place that is building a new staff.

He has done a marvelous job for us but The Head Coach at Cleveland didnt let him do anything, no play calling, nothing. So who knows, he had some rough jobs over the years and has been through the ringer.

These guys all need the money, their wives and lifestyle dictate that.

That was a joke. Most here wouldn’t fit in well over there on TnD. They don’t put up with a lot of the bs that is prevalent here and DN.

Americus does not have black hair unless he's dyed it. Not sure if he was up in Indy.

... so he needed the money, but not anymore than any other coach in your estimation... so therefore he didn't take the job because he needed the money or you could say the same thing about any other prospective coaching candidate... The most circular bullshite I've seen on here in a while. Suffice it to say, Monken had options...

No... there are no realistic OC candidates that are going to demand an overhaul to the offensive staff. They might want input if anyone were to *leave* the staff, but they're not going to put any demands in place or they simply won't get the job.

Listen dipshit, if he had his way he would have stayed in the nfl. We paid him an assload to come to GA and coach in college. He wants back into the nfl, how much more proof do you need.

It is circular, for Monken, he always goes back to the nfl. We will promote from within because its what we do for consistency.

You are one dumb frick.

This dude had black hair. Had some sort of site or podcast. Saying he looked like a young Lurch would be mean, but he kinda did.

I would never have described Legge as Lurch but now that I see it, I can’t unsee it.

When he said Lurch he popped into my head for some reason. The hair, maybe?

That’s him. I really didn’t mean it in a bad way, but there is no avoiding it now.

The last thing we need to do is promote from within for OC, we did that with James Coley and he was terrible!

You are one dumb frick.

No need to get mad dude... You were wrong. I pointed out exactly how wrong you were, so now you've doubled down.

We paid him $1.1M to be an OC in the SEC. Which bumped to $1.2M this year... Just for reference, that's probably pretty low for what he just did for us and maybe even low relative to the P5 market in general:
LINK

Approximate average salary for an NFL OC? ~$1M

He came here because we were the best option of the college programs available. Initially was presumed to be a 1 year rental, but Covid extended that by a year. Most should be happy as it netted out a Natty.

Who is arguing against this? You said he came here because of the money and that's laughably incorrect unless you are referencing the fact that ALL people take jobs because they get paid... otherwise they'd sit at home and jerk off onto their keyboard like yourself. He reportedly does not like recruiting... so unsurprisingly if he gets the right opportunity to go back to the NFL, he'll take it.

We'll see I guess? Faulkner definitely would seem to be the leader in the clubhouse, but it's not like people predicted the Monken hire... Kirby's got a hot brand and may see what's available.

I'll take this comment with all of the merit it deserves given the poster.

tbh imo fwiw I think ever since Kirby got here it was his defense I don’t think it was as much as Ticker as it was Tucker with Kirbys schemes I don’t think it was lanning as much as it was lanning with Kirbys schemes

Not really he couldn’t stop a wheel route against Florida a year ago, the defense never looked “great” under him until Muschamp got here
