A man who loves his scotch like Chaney loves his buffet.

I’m all for a new, fresh mind but I think it’s pretty much gonna be Coley

Any evidence behind this or is it just something you're assuming. I can't imagine Kirby letting Chaney walk if he didn't have a better OC in waiting

I think he wants to be HC not OC, just cause it worked before doesn’t mean it will be the same round 2.

Speculation really. We gave him a big arse raise to keep A&M from hiring him as OC and named him CO-OC. It’s the logical next step tbh. And if we hire another OC I could actually see that lead to Coley leaving this year or next.

Holy shite. He’s actually leaving?

Goddammit. We don’t need this kind of disruption now. WTF?

Coley's been handling half the duties already. Pittman's the guy we need to keep. Chaney was a liability.

Fedora or Enos would be solid.

The smart money is that our next coordinators will be Derrick Ansley and James Coley.

Bobo is a sentimental idea but he's still making almost $2M a year at Colorado State (admittedly...who knows for how much longer). A little hard to see him returning to Athens to be an OC again.

As for Steve Sarkisian...didn't he run into conflict with Saban over philosophy before he left Alabama for the Falcons?

Yeah, let's let them steal a guy who would massively upgrade their offensive coordinator position, who knows everything about Georgia's (Kirby Smart's) offensive philosophy and playbook, knows everything about our 2019 offensive recruiting board, and who has designed and run an extremely effective offense at UGA.

What will happen is Tennessee will get a big recruiting boost by selling Chaney's success and from the improvement in their 2019 offensive output. And Georgia's offensive recruiting will have to sell kids on a huge question mark for the foreseeable future. Sure, send Jim Chaney packing and lets go with Coley.

New OC and DC for 2019, and a big hit in returning offensive production at RB, TE, and WR. Not the recipe for a NC run.

Fedora rumored to be a strong possbility to Miami as OC for Manny Diaz. But...that was before our opening. But would Smart be interested or vice versa?

Dan Enos...does he really bring in much more than we would have with Coley?

Enos is Bama's OC. He's not coming.

Pittman is about to sign a new contract worth around 1.5 per year.

Think Dan Lanning will be the DC.

No clue on OC. Very excited if we bring in an outside hire and open things up. The opposite of excited if we promote Coley. Info is all over the place at this point.

Give him a raise, but nearly doubling his salary seems a bit much. 1.5 is a lot of money for a position coach, even one as great as Pittman. McGee needs a raise as well. I say go get Ansley. I would assume Smart would have already announced it if he was simply going to promote someone.

Ladies, Kirby has a plan in mind. Chaney was let go. Does anyone think he’d jump UGA ship for Tenner? Why?
