tech is our biggest rival
UF/AU are 2 A/B and anyone could make a hell of an argument for either one of them and not be wrong.

If Tech fans didn’t hate UGA so much, their rivalry status would be less for me, but they’re the biggest rival we have bc they’d rather kill a puppy than root for UGA in anything.

Depends on where you are from. No one gives a shite about tech in south Georgia

you're actually making a point in my favor. The main rival of the University of Georgia doesn't flip flop in the breeze based on where John Q Dawgfan resides. It is permanent and unchanging. A guy in columbus hating AU or a guy in Rome hating TN doesn't mean a hill of beans as it relates to what UGA's biggest rival actually is.

I actually like Georgia Tech. They are a fine upstanding respectable program with fun-loving friendly fans.

I'd give Auburn the nod over Florida because they were the first team we ever played and the number of games played. I agree to take a couple points off of Tech and add in Clemson and Ole Miss.
I wish we'd go back to ending the season playing Florida, Auburn, and Tech.

The older I get the more I hate Tech (and it's never too early to start), one loss to the MF'ers and they never shut up.

im not saying this survey is some kind of all being authority and for all i know 12 people may have taken it so far, but it's interesting that it identifies florida pretty strongly as our main rival.
i personally rank tech 3rd as well.
ETA: wtf are some of you talking about including ole miss, georgia southern, kentucky, etc...

But it does though. Dawg fans in Valdosta and Waycross are way more likely to say Florida than Dawg fans in Atlanta.

those respondees are all probably under the age of 45 and spent their formative years watching us get bludgeoned by UF yearly while we've owned tech during the same time span. I'm not surprised people think that way but it doesn't actually make it reality.

I'm over that age but this still applies to me. Also, the UF game was always so pivotal to the SEC standings. Moreso than AU because we were in the same div.

you missed the point entirely. Like completely.
Asking an invidual person who they hate more, or who THEY personally think is a "bigger rival" is 100% and totally irrelevant to who the University of Georgia's biggest rival actually is.
