I was comparing the QB tendencies for plays exploding in their face... more so than the QB comparison itself.
Bennett is extremely quick with his 180 pound frame. He can separate from a pass rush as well as any UGA QB since Shockley. Unfortunately, there are a lot of drawbacks to his frame as well.

Also, Kirby should have just named Newman the starter. Not sure what exactly he was waiting on with that.

I tend to agree. Newman was proven. He performed well considered his supporting cast at Wake Forest.
But Kirby might have had insight that we did not. In other words, he might have been concerned that Newman might bolt under the Covid-19 circumstances.

Isn't this the thread where we talked about scuttlebutt that Newman had impermissible Contact with an agent?
That would do it

Yep, the most Georgia thing ever would be to go undefeated and NC with an ineligible player.

Read that from Radi Nabulsi a couple of days after Newman split.
I also don't believe CKS is happy with the offense; he's just playing the hand he's been dealt.

Dawg nation daily said something has added to the drama for Daniels. Anyone know what he is talking about?

Just the Brandon Marcello report which is that JT Daniels believe he is ready to play but it seems like the coaching staff is what is holding him back.

JT Daniels is on standby. The long-heralded transfer from Southern Cal is ready. He wants to play. He believes he's ready to face live fire in a college football game for the first time since tearing an ACL more than a year ago.
Georgia's coaching staff, however, is not as excited to push the former 5-star recruit onto the field any time soon, even as starter Stetson Bennett IV struggles and fails to give the Bulldogs a consistent deep threat as a passer, sources close to the Bulldogs program tell 247Sports.
