Actually no. I just rewatched his drives.

He wasn't good overall, but that's not exactly shocking.

ETA: I just try to take a look after the live emotions are over with. It often looks like a completely different game.

I'm hoping that Kirby was saving Daniels for more formidable competition. It wouldn't surprise my to see Daniels start against Auburn. Go Dawgs.

Do you not pay attention to anything and somehow miss that daniels hasn't been cleared for contact? Daniels is our starting qb the minute hes cleared

If he completed that long pass to Pickens he probably stays in the game

I might be dead wrong but Kirby could be employing gamesmanship. What will you think if Daniels is cleared next Friday?

You are dead wrong, and somewhat of an idiot.

I will think Ron courson has decided that daniels had passed all required tests and is now medically cleared for contact.

He wasn't cleared by our medical staff.

I'm sorry am I missing something here? Why is this a question? The dullard above asked about a hypothetical situation for next Friday, not this last one.

You literally just said you think Ron said he was cleared. It's not hard to understand

He traveled with the team, though IIRC. So why travel if you aren't cleared? I thought that was weird.

Give him a headset and clipboard.
Mental reps and coaching. At some point, we are hoping that he thinks and adapts like our OC thinks and adapts.

I thought it strange as well and don't have an answer aside from maybe Kirby thought hat Saturday morning might have been good to clear him regarding swelling and extension and whatever else they look for. You typically don't waste a travel spot for an away game on a useless player so I can only imagine Kirby thought there may have been a shot.

I think that him traveling with the team and the lack of communication about the QB situation absolutely was gamesmanship. But I can't imagine, in any world, any coach worth 2 shits starting a guy just to throw others off. No, I can't imagine they started D'Wan to throw people off but instead, maybe, trying to maintain the idea that the gap between D'Wan and JT wasn't big or that we weren't as hosed as we are without JT.

I personally don't think our staff wanted folks knowing what was to come. I just don't think they expected D'Wan was going to implode on the field and make it incredibly evident that JT would have been the guy had he been cleared.

I'm probably not explaining it well but it's my opinion that they wanted JT to continue to travel, stick with the team, learn, and keep the prevailing thoughts going that he had a dead heat with Mathis in camp and not make it blatantly obvious that his knee was the difference maker.

IDK.We only have 70 spots on the traveling squad and many talented
guys didn't make the trip.

It was a bit risky if it was gamesmanship and it certainly didn't fool Odom.

It's good that he throws it away, but he does so way too early. He doesn't even try to scramble or extend plays.

I should clarify that I don't think he did it solely for gamesmanship. I think there is a lot to be said for the guy, presumably the starter, be around the team for these moments. I don't think it hurt that we brought him and dressed him out.

Coaches, not even Arkansas but the scouts from Auburn, Bama, etc. can see JT dressed but D'Wan starting. I mean, I'm not gonna stake my life on it here so I reckon I'll walk back my "absolutely" but I do think there is a slight element of deception there coupled with the experience JT would get traveling.

Otherwise idk wtf he would be doing out there.

I might still be wrong but the rumour is that Daniels was cleared today. I hope so.
