These are exactly the type posts that show the worst of people and their assumptions. Smart not working hard? Such a dumb take.

I just waded back into the game thread sewer to grab some classic tantrum quotes. Found something even more hilarious though…

Down 17-0, I posted that the Dawgs were still going to win and it got multiple anonymous red colored down arrows. From Georgia fans.

I love it

Didn’t say he wasn’t working hard. I said he seems emotionally checked out and has had no fire this season. He has also been bitchy with the media a lot when asked valid questions (Chips stupid takes, aside).

Maybe he had a health scare we don’t know about and has decided to be less of a hard arse.

Maybe the composure of this team is too emotionally fragile for him to be Hellfire and brimstone with.

Maybe the age of NIL and Portal free agency has forced him to back off some due to the fear of a wholesale exodus of quality players.

Whatever the reasons, he hasn’t been the same visibly this season.

That's either some weird psychology or not Georgia fans. The weird psychology being they wanted their angry tantrum to be justified more than they wanted you to be correct. Sometimes people actually do root against their own team.

Or, sometimes we get so caught up in groupthink and so cocksure about the future that any opinion to the contrary is an affront to our intelligence, thus the downvotes. That may be the most important function of the internet; convince people that they can't possibly be wrong.

That is fair, but I think it could also be that it is a mentally and physically consuming job that has risen to another level with NIL and portal.
In the conferences I have watched, his snippy responses are typically to questions he already answered or said in the beginning he wouldn’t answer. Also, questions that put him in a spot to call out a player, which I believe he doesn’t like to do. There was a spell when there were a lot of Beck questions and he had answered them 3 times already and they asked essentially the same question.

Personally, I have a ton of respect for him. What he has done in this environment is pretty fricking awesome. College football is getting even harder, both in recruiting and in games. Yet, UGA is still elite. We have won a number of games most teams would have lost. Sadly, many of our fans dwell on the negative aspects of this.

I think he's also been more irritated with the officiating. It's impossible to analyze every play, but statistically there were some odd numbers in the first half plus of the season. After the schedule we were assigned for the first TWO years of the new SEC, I wouldn't be surprised if Kirby has some questions about SEC leadership.

Heck, I admit it. I bailed after GT went up 27. I don’t give an F. I hate watching the dawgs play like crap.

The fact that Georgia won last night doesn’t really change my opinion on how poorly this team is prepared for the majority of games.

Yes, we are due for a wire to wire great performance.

I just call out quitters and bad takes. If that offends you, maybe the shoe fits…

If you can’t handle actually discussing how poor our team was playing I guess that’s cool.

I discussed some of our potential problems before the game, and some other factors like Tech had been preparing for the game for a month, and most likely holding their qb out intentionally for part of that. So, I didn't need to come to the game thread and act like a small child having a temper tantrum. I can handle rational discussion, but that's not what goes on in the game threads.

quote:

It does seem a little odd to sit it out and then act holier than thou because you choose to sit on the sidelines until the game is finally in hand then call everyone else quitters or counts

As I said, I have no desire to read your petulant rants. I don't seek out people who can't control their emotions. As for holier than thou, I'm just pointing out the absurdity of (presumably) adults acting like small children. That's what it is, so not sure why that bothers you.

Peter Irish Potato Buck aka Spit Bucket Boy posts AFTER the game in his typical know nothing style of commentary. He’s worse than a quitter - he shows up AFTER the game!? LOL !

You are really bad at this. Maybe have one of your grandkids give you some tips or something.
