The the gun toss stretch to Jones either needs to be removed or play action pass needs to be added to it where the ball never gets tossed that way again.

The starting offense scored 5 touchdowns in the 7 possessions they were out there yesterday, but I guess it's all about what you choose to remember and how you choose to remember it...

You can't blame the RB when the ball and the DL arrive at the same time.

My guess is that Cash has the best hands of the group. And if your plan is to sneak him out and throw it like we’ve done numerous times you have to also be willing to toss it or hand it to him so defenses don’t know exactly what you’re going to do when he steps in to the field.

Somebody in the game thread pointed out that "any of our running backs could have made that play" after Cash's touchdown, which is retarded. Cash might be the top 5 best receiving backs in the country.

Name 1 who couldn’t make that play in our RB room

Hardly. Bowen could have made the catch, but probably would not have scored. He has top end speed but not the acceleration that Cash Jones has.
My opinion is #25 and #9 both would have tackled Bowens before he got to top end speed.
Frazier could have made the catch and has the acceleration, but might fumble when a defender hits him hard.
Roderick Robinson could not have
Dwight Phillips definitely could have, but for some reason isn't getting much playing time. (I'm sure there is a reason)
I haven't seen enough of Bo Walker to have an opinion.
That's all speculation on my part, just as it is all speculation on anyone else's part to say they all could have made the play. fact is...Cash Jones did make the play. His acceleration is amazing. he can go from stop to top end quick, and that is something that can't be coached.

Just off the top of my head, Bell. I guess everyone forgot he was a RB for us at one time and did a pretty dang good job too. I'm of the opinion anything Cash can do, Bell can do much better.

Now ironically, that play in the NFL with a fake pitch, and a wheel route is almost unstoppable near the goal line ....

Signed but please add 6 wr screens per drive and pretty much everything else Blowbo calls. Glad he remembered baby bowers was on the team for a play this week. So so bad.

Bell is a force and I absolutely love what he brings to the table. But why put a WR in there unless you are going to use him as a RB a good amount of time? Putting him in for just a couple of plays screams what is about to happen. That would be the negative for Bell. Bell was used as a RB because we were decimated at the RB position. Not to mention, I doubt Bell would be too happy about it. His future in the NFL is at WR. You would only hurt his draft stock if we began playing him at RB at this point in his career.

I honestly don't know. He was getting a few snaps for awhile, but I don't recall seeing him against Alabama or Kentucky. But he could have definitely made the play. I keep envisioning him in the James Cook role. Split him out wide as a RB and match him up with a LB.
ETA
Not sure what I was thinking about...Phillips left the Tennessee game with a foot injury in the 3rd quarter. Should, hopefully, be back soon.

I'm only saying that in place of using Cash Jones on those limited plays it makes a lot more sense to me to use Bell. Whatever Cash offers as a RB, Bell offers more. Ditto with pass catching out of backfield.

The way I look at it is that Cash is indeed a very good back in obvious passing situations, but when we gain 7 yards on 3rd and 8 and want to go for it, we need to sub. I understand that we want to go fast if all else is equal, but it’s not worth it if we have inferior personnel out there.
