True, but when this all boils down I think another network could pick her up for a talk show or something. Some of her sponsors have backed her even more after the apology. Others have mutually agreed to wait to see what the court decision is before they renew a contract.

The use of the N-word doesn't both me. The "Slavery-Theme Wedding." That's crazy. And she has no one to blame but her brother. He's the one who put her in this situation. And she getting dropped by these companies cause they know she'll be hurting their $$$. In the words of Nino Brown: "It's not personal. Just business." And at this point Paula Deen is bad for business. If she was Rush Limbaugh she could talk like that cause that's how he makes his $$$.

Jesus y'all are retarded. She denies the slavery themed wedding accusations. That shite was from Lisa Jackson. The media had mixed the two into one big scandal. The only thing she's been guilty of us what she admitted, that she said nig*er 27 years ago. The rest is dealt with in court which hasn't happened yet.

Well that, much like the lawsuit with the restaurant, is a bald faced lie. So, I'm gonna go ahead and say you shouldn't have a problem with something that was never said or done.

Doesn't matter what I think. She loss $$$ everyday cause of her and her brother. Like I said earlier: "Not personal. Just business."

There are plenty of people who haven't. Granted, they live in places like Mongolia and have no knowledge of the word, but still.....
Oh, and mutes are probably in the clear, too.

I'm from South Georgia. I'm black and have never used it. My parents wouldn't tolerate it.

Are you 12? I think most of our parents wouldn't tolerate a lot of things that we did/do

Have you, your parents, your family,or your black friends ever used the term "CRACKER" as a descriptive of Anglo's that you found distasteful? Please be honest with your reply!tia

I have some white friends that I can completely understand why black people hate them, I hate them too.
If you hate them, why are you friends with them? Seems like an easy way to trim down ye olde Christmas Card list.

No I haven't used that word nor did I ever hear my parents say it. I have heard other black people use it. And when I would tell my black friends to not use either of those words they'd make jokes and call me an "Uncle Tom." But like I said my parents didn't allow us to use language like that and neither did they. My grandparents were both in the Civil Right Movement & my mom and dad rembered integration and didn't want any of their children doing such things.

No I'm 30yrs old. One of my uncles said it around is once and daddy completely lost his cool. Cause he & my mom didn't want their kids around that type of language.

I recant, after reading the story more in depth. Paula is TOTALLY out of line, not just what she said, but what she did. to reenact pre-Antebellum themes at weddings and her **** servers at Uncle Bubba's restaurant. She deserves everything that's coming to her!

Hey everyone, Did you know that Paula Deen's cookbooks are available at very reasonable prices on Amazon?
LINK.............
They make great gifts for moms, aunts, mee-maws, etc.
The best part about stocking up on these cookbooks though.......is the satisfaction that you are striking a blow to irrational brain-dead hyper-sensitive COWARDS everywhere with each purchase!!!!!!!!!!!

quote:And that is not what the issue is. Being accused of being a racist for admitting she said the "N-i-g-g-e-r" word 30 years ago is retarded. Which is akin to the "Cracker" or "Honky" word. You can set the whole TV Industry down because everyone one of them have used those words sometime in their life. The whole issue is stupid and should be dropped. Paul has done nothing to warrant being fired or let go from anywhere.

BTW, It's reverse racism when the "N" word gets blotted out, but the word "Cracker" or "Honky" does not.

Slaves
Not slaves
Compensating employees who "willingly" portrayed slaves in a theatrical wedding is not racism,it's capitalism.Your obviously to stupid to differentiate the two.
