Bobo and Kirby think Arian has earned game reps based on working hard to improve in weak areas

This is the definition of insanity to me

Hard to justify that going forward when he is dropping keys ball and messing up play calls two weeks in a row.

Any catch that is contested, he isn't strong enough to fight through.

Arian needs to be a back up, sorry....

I'm for continuing to giving smith deep ball reps in every game. Credit Arian for the big plays he made in the past. At one time Matt Landers was even worse than Smith and he became important for Arkansas.

when the time calls for it, doesn't mean he should be WR 1

I don't have a problem with Beck. He's more than good enough to win us a championship. Same with out receivers. Say what you want about Smith, but with Lovett, Bell, Luckie, eta Humphries, Evans, and Colbie Young, that room is also good enough to win the NC.

Our sorry arse run game and shittier-than-expected OL may not be.

That's to say nothing of the defensive side of the ball. It's looking less and less like CJ Allen will be the next Roquan Smith other than the jersey number.

Fans just like shitting on the QB. I can guarantee you of the 130+ teams in FBS, 120 of them would trade their QB for Beck in a heart beat.

When Arian Smith is your #1 go-to receiver that spells trouble.

Arian Smith is out there for one reason. His speed. He is a threat on the deep pass. Interestingly enough, he seems to struggle tracking the ball on long passes. On the flip side, he seems to catch the shorter passes better. I am wondering if we should throw quick slants to him and seeing if he can break long gainers from those.

I don't know, but how is Anthony Evans speed? he is returning kicks, so I assume he has good acceleration, but what about his long speed? He might could be a better option for long passes. And seems like London Humphreys is supposed to be fast, too?

Not that this applies to Beck but anyone who dates a "social media influencer" needs to have their head examined.

yeah you need a guy like that, but that odens't mean he should be your #1 target. I also rarely recall him running a straight up go route, which would seem to suit him best. When we throw him "deep" routes he will occasionally run the wrong route or simply drop the ball. What good is it having him out there at that point?

we throw horizontal screens behind the LOS to him multiple times a game. I'm kinda tired of that.

it's great. Another head scratcher I have is why AE isn't getting more reps.

how good was roquan in 2016? Or Nakobe in 2020? Both of those guys went from really good players to mega elite all-timers in their junior years.

I'm in no way saying CJ is on those guys' level, but I mean we're 5 games into his true sophomore season. Probably not time to write him off just yet.

I just don't get why you're the QB, the big man on campus, and you're settling for this chick hundreds of miles away. That distance is a big drain on the psyche. It's not like they were high school sweethearts either.

I knew hotter chicks in Redcoats & Accounting class, yet alone sorority row. Carson needs him a local girl

social media. Today's players were born in the 2000s...all they know since they've been born is a screen in their hand and doing whaever it takes for likes/clicks/shares for validation. His gf is a social media person so by being with her, he's now a cool social media person too.

There are likely thousands, and I mean that literally...thousands...of girls equally as hot or hotter within a 15 mile radius of where Carson beck is right now, but for a college aged person I'm sure clout and internet cred is super important

Fair enough, it might be too late for him now that the offseason's over. Has to make up for lost ground.

Maybe he should just fly solo & devote himself to football for a while

Yeah, it was a tough game. But again... he hasn't too many of those. Going back to last season, his only achilles heel has been Bama. And both losses to them were one score games. And I venture to say, if our D could have got off the bus before freakun half-time and contained ol Dildo even a LITTLE last Saturday we would have won and I doubt he would be catching the crap he's catching....agreed?

Brooks Austin thinks Beck has an injury based on mechanics. Says he is leaning while throwing and doesn't have good base like last year.

Could be an injury or just laziness imo.

Or it started with an injury, then he inherited his biological father's penchant for opioids.

yah, Beck has regressed. I really though Stetson would come back and try to cruise but he was p---ed off and had a chip on his shoulder and played like it. Beck impressed me last year with his cool and calm and now he just looks like he can't find his way in the pocket. I guess you never know how millions of NIL dollars and a hot girlfriend will change your mindset, but maybe that's what happened to him. I thought he was going to get compared to Murray in terms of inability to beat Bama, but if we fizzle out this year he's probably going to more in the Joe Cox arena. Murray fought his tail off and took vicious hits. He was really just one play away from a NC. Maybe just a lot of factors and hard to tell what's going on in his head. I'll have to watch a few interviews to see if I can pick up on it.

Here's the hour long film breakdown of the game that K9 eluded to earlier. Instead of watching interviews, watch this and make up your own mind, then go into interviews and see what more you can gleen with an educated mind. That's all I ask of you.
