Young guy from the south, worked with Kirby and is a Todd Monken disciple. Has been super successful calling plays and has a an offensive scheme that's hard to stop. What's not to like.

Probably won't break the bank to hire him either

He did. Still will be their #1 target I'm sure.

Mizzou ain't no joke with that QB and aggressive defense. Will be a battle to get out of there with a W for us.

I think what WarMouth is gently trying to suggest is that the greatness of Buster Faulkner is only exceeded by the greatness of Missouri which is only exceeded by the greatness of Miss St which is only exceeded by the greatness of Alabama. I'm not sure where UGA fits in his mental rankings, but since we've been repeatedly assured our contest with Missouri will be a battle, presumably we're somewhere between Miss State and Kansas.

Not at all. I just noticed that you've told us half a dozen times that Missouri will be a war or battle or something to that effect. SEC road games are a test, for everybody. That's nothing new. Our game with Missouri was a war in 2022, and so was Kentucky. In '23 it was Auburn, and '24 Kentucky again, and Ole Miss. In '25 it was Auburn again and Florida and Tennessee and even Georgia fricking Tech. Road games are hard but, since you've said it over and over, I just thought someone should acknowledge your concerns about Missouri. If we struggle, or Heaven forbid lose, you will be awarded 6 E-credits.

I'll update the log to reflect that, despite keeping detailed tabs on my post history and typing multiple paragraphs about an innocuous comment, you in fact are not upset.

I don't need to "keep tabs" on your post history. When someone predicts that we'll have a "war" with Missouri (which was in the process of losing to Miss State), and we don't even play Missouri until 7 wks later in the season, I wonder why and it makes an impression. When they repeat the same thing multiple times over the next week, I realize that they're trying to evoke a response. So I gave you a response because I figured nobody else is thinking or cares about Missouri right now. I thought that would make you happy.

Right, you're totally not upset. I've already updated the log bro, no need to continue to waste keystrokes on something that isn't bothering you.

The funny thing is how wrong they are, but eventually, we lose a game and then we are lectured how they knew it all along. It is an odd safety blanket for lower IQ emotional types. Typically seen more in women or neurotic sports fans.

You're right, I'm seething with anger. But just out of interest, since I was wrong about Missouri being a road game, how should we be feeling about South Carolina on the road the week after our Missouri battle?

Humility is a week away. That's what you and Peter don't understand because you never played at this level.

Kirby actually played for UGA and understands what it takes. Kirby and I are similar in this way.

Exactly. That's why nobody here is thinking about Missouri. We have multiple opportunities for humility before we lightly turn our attention to a team like Missouri. People only have so much bandwidth for concern. Except for you, apparently.

Maybe not. I understand the way Kirby uses it, but I suspect from a fan's perspective you probably have a more nuanced understanding of humility than I or most Georgia fans do.

You’re an arrogant POS. In addition, you’re like a distant cousin who shows up at your house for the holidays, hogs the couch, props his feet up on the coffee table, snags the remote, lights his cigar while complaining about what is/isn’t in the fridge. Nobody has done more to ruin this board than you. We’d all appreciate if you’d disappear. If not, take on some humility, give deference to those who actually add value to this board, and stop posting so damn much! Almost 2,600 posts in 9 1/2 months? Damn, son!
