Obama on Swine Flu

Yea, I notice that the libs have comments turned off for that video. hahaa Because they know damn well that Obama's response was not nearly as timely and thorough as Trump's has been. Over 1000 Americans were dead from H1V1 before Obama declared a national emergency.

Just eclipsed 254,000 Americans that have been tested and given results. That number does still not include hospitals and private laps. On our way to 1M deaths!!!!

5-6 per day and a current rate of over 4% seems very high. So again, what are the details?

In couple of months that total deaths curve is going to come on down. When it does, the still living are going to be running for their lives from the hordes of recently undead. How is Trump going to cope with that shite?

For everyone on this thread.

If you haven’t been following this already, a U.K. doc had been giving daily updates and other interesting tidbits throughout this whole thing. Fact based and no political lean. Very informational and a good find.

Dr Campbell YouTube link

His R0 clip is pretty interesting. Measles had an R0 of up to 18!

Another good resource is UpToDate. This is a “WebMD” for physicians containing the most recent info on medical topics and used widely by physicians. They’ve pushed their COVID 19 page outside the paywall and it has a lot of good info.

UpTo Date

Aside from the bickering we have to stay abreast of the facts. Carry on.

UptoDate is a great resource. Oddly enough, when my wife went through APN school, the Merck manual was okay to use as a reference but not UptoDate.

You keep making a point about a scenario the Obama admisitration ran, therefore Trump should have been prepared.

No. I am not. The sim was run in August of 2019, well after Obama left office. Obama didn’t run that. That’s what I am talking about. Obama has nothing to do with that so quit trying to shift blame.

This scenario was something the president should have been prepared for considering his admin ran a sim on this situation.

We should have been better prepared for this emergency. That’s the whole point of war games. To find a weakness and fix it before it’s a problem. It’s kind of like spring practice in football.

Because it’s 2020. It’s like trying to excuse a football problem in 2019 because our 2009 coach screwed up. Absolutely illogical and irrelevant.

You are right, it is MUCH less than the flu.

The whole world is shut down right now, so everyone clearly understands it’s not just the flu. Not even trump agrees with you anymore. You are nearly alone with your idiocy.

China was a disaster. They lied to make it seem less so, but you being a gullible retard believes them.

Italy is a disaster too, but guess what? Spain is about to be worse. You think the media made it all up.

Dr. Campbell reported that testing is crucial for disease control. A couple of posters here argued that testing, and especially early testing, has no value at all. I guess Dr. Campbell is some kind of dirty liberal.
