Wuhan reported no new cases today....

I don't think its going to be a castastrophic event in regards to the death toll, but come on, trusting the Chinese gov't to give honest numbers for a disease that originated in their country?

And thats exactly the way this should unfold. Instead of a complete collapse of the economy and martial law. The elephant is scared of the mouse and is about to fall off the cliff he doesnt see behind his feet.

If you live in a major metro area, I hope you have already formulated plans to unass said area.

I hear you and I probably don’t agree with their overall numbers yet, but WHO has been actively monitoring with them for some time now

Chinese govt has been lying about this from the beginning, forcing the Dr who made the first public report on it recant. That Dr later died. They recently threw out foreign journalists. Nothing they say should be believed. Those aholes and their disgusting "wet markets" have been responsible for most of these outbreaks. There should be serious consequences against China for this entire mess.

While I agree that the worldwide death toll will be less than the folks who are panicking would have us believe,

If that's the case, you have to credit the mass interventions being done worldwide.

and here we goooooooo! The spin will be glorious all around. Can't wait until we have to do this shite every few years any time a new virus comes out. You will be long gone before they actually figure out the deathrate, with and without interventions, how the economy was impacted because of it and how many people died because the economy went to shite, who wouldn't have died if we didn't intervene.

Found a good graphic on how this is about to spread around the world.

If Spain, Italy, and France are struggling to fight this thing, I don't have much hope for Brazil, Mexico, or India.

Its entirely possible that the worldwide death toll of people killed by other people due to mass hysteria and panic (which you and others here are doing your damnedest to drum up) will be greater than the number of people killed by the virus.

Let's hope that doesn't happen.

That’s literally the evidence that proves an interventions to be successful. Using your logic, there is nothing that can prove this was worthwhile.

Speaking of spin, How are you spinning trump finally coming around and taking this seriously? He is actually listening to the experts. Better late than never. You seem to be in a diminishing sector of the population now that trump has left your side.

Pretty sure he banned travel with China pretty damn quick on January 31

Pretty sure this was the fastest treatment to be in a clinical trial in US history

All this red tape cutting that he has done over the last few weeks is sooner than ever before....he started these steps when 16 people in the US were infected

Keep watching your media hyped shite and enjoy your bunker.

I would love nothing more than being completely wrong. I don't want anyone to die.

Yea, and crime will go down short term, car accidents and deaths will go down, regular flu deaths will go down, etc etc. What is the long-term economic impact of such moves? How many will die from that? How many will be without a job come next month or next few months that wouldn't have? What does that do to their health, mentally and physically?

There is a big negative related to young people not isolating--more deaths.

There is a positive in that herd immunity is enhanced. There is an economic positive in having young people continuing to work.

We could have avoided so much if we hadn't farted around so long.

Is this right?

That was a great move, but he continued to publicly downplay the seriousness of the problem, and make promises about testing he couldn’t keep. Waited too late to have his address to the nation.

But again, better late than never. You disagree with everything he is doing now, right? He had adapted to reality. You still haven’t.
