Sure, if you believe a lying group of commies. They are likely no less than that 80k level, and possibly well beyond it.

So yeah, the curve will eventually look like that, but how do you want to get there?

"want" has nothing to do with it. I think you know that, deep down in your heart of hearts.

You know, deep down, that these curfews and all the other bullshite isn't going to do a damn thing to slow down this virus. It's already everywhere. The only way to slow down "overwhelming the infrastructure" is to quarantine the vulnerable, which is already being done.

Keeping young healthy people out of bars is more than stupid, it is tyrannical.

Deep down, you know this. Soul search. Get away from the noise for a moment, turn it all off, and meditate on exactly why you want the country shut down.

You don't have to come admit it here, just downvote me, deny it, etc. That's fine, I don't care.

But you know, and I know you know.

The number of cases is about to skyrocket

Whats your definition of "skyrocket?" We know H1N1 cases spread to an estimated million (27,000+ confirmed)people from the first case in mid April to end if June.

We're coming up on that 2 1/2 month window and it's up to 3800 and 80 deaths.I don't have mortality numbers on the same period for H1N1 but I would all but guarantee it would be more.

Now,the number of cases will go up simply because we'll be getting more cases (positive test) simply because we're getting more tested and we also know that death rates will go down along with those showing no sympetoms at all. 50% to 70% may be asymptomatic (click on English translation)

we'll also have people who have other problems dying because they couldn't get proper care in time

You KNOW this how?You don't so just STFU with your mindless speculation. And please STOP with the Italy example.Ive posted the reasons and stats on Italy multiple times.and you guys either don't believe demographic facts or just don't want to believe them because you have political blinders on.

I'll address the bed and ventilator issues later. This shite gets tiresome.

RD, they are NPC's. Guffawing jackasses that worship government and can't change tires. If it weren't for their pocket-gods in the pocket, they'd already be dead due to lack of survivability and sense. Don't wear yourself out on them. You and I and others have posted facts, they blow right past them, and continue NPC'ing.

I used to think it was ignorance, but now I'm convinced it's a tactic.

35,000,000 Americans got the flu last year.
34,000 Americans died from the flu last year.
If I was 85 I'd start to worry. But I'm not and I'm not too worried about catching the 'Chinese flu' this year.

Thats with a vaccine.

Now imagine that without a vaccine and a faster spread.

Good grief. Just look at the known and obvious political Lefties on this site trying to will the worst case scenario into existence.

Why is that?

I mean those arguing here are clearly split right down the political ideology spectrum. With the Lefties virtually hoping for the worst. Every stat and talking point they push is the most extreme narrative out there in ignorant rumor land.

You fricks are sick and insane. It’s going to be entertaining when we can pull this thread up next year and this thing never came 1/100th of an inch close to your shitty doomsday projections. frickin loons.

You know that exponential growth in a pandemic has a ceiling, if it was truly exponential, everyone on the planet would have already been dead.

Exponential growth eventually hits an inflection point in this kind of situation. When we hit that point is important, and how soon it does depends on the timing of effective interventions.

You are counting hundreds of strands of flu versus 1 strand of Corona virus.

When this situation is resolved... that fact will be evident.

It is like betting on Bubba Watson versus the field at the Masters. Common sense tells you to that the field will be greater.

Vaccines protect against numerous strands and not all strands are prevalent.

seems as though "chloroquine" is gaining steam as a possible vaccine and may even work to prevent contracting COVID-19

So can we get you on record that there will be more than 35M infected and 32K dead this year since you seem so positive on your projections?

The first covid-19 death was reported in the US on March 5, 2020. I worry that we will have over 1M deaths here by March of 2021.

Another fun fact-

Check out this WSB-TV story.

LINK

This lady in Georgia has fever, cough, "the whole nine yards", was exposed to confirmed CV19 at her church, and flu/strep tests were negative.... and the hospital still refused to give her CV19 test because they are reserving them for only the sickest of the sick..

So lets think about this a minute..

If 5% are dying, but they are only testing the sickest of the sick, I'd say that's a wonderful number.. you are so sick you have to be hospitalized, with a 95% chance of recovery.. that's excellent. Tell me another disease you get hospitalized for with a 95% recovery rate.

The weird thing about that article is her doctor recommended she reach out to the hospital to request testing. I think the doctor should have requested it. Without a doctor recommendation, she has to make her own case.

From what I saw, you have to call the triage number. The Dr was instructed to give you the number.
