How bout criticisms of the Swine flu quick tests which were very LINK innacurate

Did other networks like CBS run made up stories like this? or LINK

And that’s already leveled off back to normal, which was a low high to begin with. Almost perfectly aligned with Fox News viewership. Coincidence?

Very few Presidents hit their high this late in their presidency. And if your comment about Fox News is correct, then the left has a ton to be worried about, because that base elected him President 4 years ago.

The mind boggling part to me is the people who claim to be Christians supporting a man they believe to be Christian.

I am a Christian, but I am fairly certain he is not. But are you under the impression that Hillary or most other politicians are Christians.

Christians typically are conservative because of the abortion issue. I know that is big for me, but I also tend to be conservative for a host of other things. It isn't just one person or one issue.

But as for Trump? I hadn't even thought about it. I had no idea he even made that claim.

Over the last two weeks, German virologists tested nearly 80 percent of the population of Gangelt for antibodies that indicate whether they'd been infected by the coronavirus. Around 15 percent had been infected, allowing them to calculate a COVID-19 infection fatality rate of about 0.37 percent. The researchers also concluded that people who recover from the infection are immune to reinfection, at least for a while. For comparison, the U.S. infection fatality rates for the 1957–58 flu epidemic was around 0.27 percent; for the 1918 Spanish flu epidemic, it was about 2.6 percent. For seasonal flu, the rate typically averages around 0.1 fatality rate

The German researchers caution that it would be wrong to extrapolate these regional results to the whole country. But they also believe these findings show that lockdowns can begin to be lifted, as long as people maintain high levels of hygiene to keep COVID-19 under control.

Hrmmmmm

Most presidents get much bigger bumps in times of crisis. Most everyone who watches Fox News propaganda thinks he has done a great job. Most others don’t.

That's the rub. Of course Hillary sucks. Nobody wanted her, that's why we have Trump.

But Hillary's supporters are not the Bible thumpers. And she doesn't play to that base. Trump's are and he does. He claims he's a Christian and panders to the right wing Christian base.

I was talking about attacks on him in general.

Perhaps the opponents were way too distracted by other things like health care bills. Why talk about swine flu when he is going after the whole HC system? Priorities man.

We know it wasn’t close to as dire a scenario as this is.

Perhaps he didn’t fail as badly as trump has in dealing with the smaller problem.

Heck, Simply not behaving like a hormonal 15 year old can do wonders for perception.

I didn't vote in 2016 because I couldn't stand either candidate. If a gun were held to my head forcing me to vote I would have voted for Trump. That imaginary vote would haunt me now as the bodies pile up.

This is true. But his seems to have been rising for awhile. As his Presidency moves forward so does his approval ratings....as a whole. As with all Presidents they are fluid going up and down, bu his seems to rise as a whole.

Fox propaganda? I will admit that FOX is biased to the right. but the MSM, especially CNN has gone off their rockers, jumping at every implausible rumor and reporting it. It almost seems like a weekly ocurrence that they have to retract, correct and/or apologize for a story the ran with. Add to that the many "reporters" who have been caught on tape talking about their biases. (NYT, I think?)

Those don't concern you at all, though, do they?

You blast FOX, but again you give CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS and ABC a pass. You might claim to be a centrist, but you aren't.

There are way too many tell tell signs.

Go ahead. I dare you. Blast Cuomo and Deblasio for their ineptitude like you did Trump. I have admitted mistakes have been made by Trump. Trumps mistakes stem, primarily from his reactions to the Coronavirus, while Cuomo and Deblasio's mistake came from spreading it. If they (Cuomo and Deblasio) had done their jobs properly they would not be in need of nearly as many respirators and PPE.

It was the left who blasted Trump for shutting down travel between the US and China. The one thing that MIGHT have stopped Corona in it's tracks....or at least slowed it down a bit. But hey....let's all live our lives normally. let's go to parties, parades, the movies. Cornavirus poses no credible threat, right?

I was the same way.

And if Hillary had won? Do you think she would have handled this better than she did Bengahzi? I mean, if she went along with conventional wisdom at the time that the left was espousing....she would have left travel between China and the US open.
How much worse do you think things would be now?

I remember all of the attacks on Obama. There were a lot. but nobody called for impeachment shortly after he was sworn in. For that matter nobody called for his impeachment at all.

The attacks on Trump have been much worse.

But to the post you were responding to...his question earlier to you was specifically about reporting concerning the Swine Flu. I don't recall a comission being formed to study the handling of the Swine Flu, either. Seems odd.

You mean the bill that contrbiuted to health insurance costs rising exponentially? The one even Dems criticize today, and say it really is not very good?

Maybe he should have concentrated harder on that health bill. I mean he had control of the House and the Senate his first two years, I think. Talk about inept.

I probably didn’t help things when I called someone ignorant in this thread a few weeks ago, but even though I disagree with a lot of what some people have said, I feel like I at least try and be respectful towards the opposing views. I’m not as nice as DawgsLife, but he’s also the kindest member of our board

And to be fair, I was calling someone ignorant for saying this was like the flu, which was dumb.

Bodies piling up, hospitals overwhelmed, running out of PPE.....so lets do some TikTOks of hospital personnel not wearing PPE, stepping over bodies, and keeping people in line for the 12 hour wait to get in,......

Except with a significantly higher mortality rate, transmit rate, etc.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Baptist Health says it is temporarily furloughing some of its employees.

Those impacted are full and part-time employees in jobs that do not support caregivers, or are not critical to clinical operations related to COVID-19.

Some other staff members have also been temporarily re-assigned.

Furloughs are happening at all eight hospital systems
, and those furloughed will be eligible for unemployment, and will continue to receive medical benefits.

Well, this cannot be correct based on the data we have ....Either the transmit rate is 100x lower, or the mortality rate is closer in line....and not sure what your etc is here.
