Fauci did change his tune about a week later FWIW. And some of that was taken out of context in regards to the low risk portion, but it does look like he was saying on that date it didn’t look like a big threat.

Let's be serious here. You really think two tweets counter all of the warnings including intelligence briefings as early as November?
You think that explains away the inexcusable attitude and mismanagement after the first American case? The screwups going on even now?
It's ok to accept the truth here. It's OK to critique real mistakes. For Christ's sake please don't delude yourself. Deep down you know just as well as I do that the guy your denying reality to defend doesn't give half of 1% of a shite about you.

On the contrary....they criticized trump for shutting down travel to China, encouraged their citizens to go out and attend parades, movies and other public events, and kept their school systems open while most of the rest of the country was closing theirs.
And now they are the epicenter of this mess.
I am nto saying this has been flawless execution by Trump. Far from it. But Governors and Mayors of states have sabotaged efforts from the beginning. Now, I don't believe they did it with "sabotage" in mind, but I do believe they hampered and exasperated the situation in New York and Michigan (In particular those two states) And guess what? Both states are being ravaged.

If you are going to blame Trump and criticize him for not taking responsibility, then lets see some equal criticism. Their actions did more to spread the disease in their states than anything Trump did. Their actions actually helped to spread the disease, then wanted the Feds to bail them out for their actions.

Mind showing me the warnings from November? The first person in China came in November. If they were having meetings about an unknown disease it would be remarkable. 1st known case of coronavirus traced back to November in China

Good lucid post. There was none of this vitriol against President Obama during the Swine Flu Pandemic. The news media played a compliant role and the world economy rolled right along.
China is clearly the main bad actor in this macabre play and in the aftermath of this pandemic and economic disaster, it is China that needs to be held accountable.

Donald Trump was the 1st world leader to take any kind of action in regards to the Wuhan Virus
he was heavily criticized for his travel restrictions imposed against China and under the microscope of a farce impeachment at the time

Again with that one good thing....but then he waited 6 weeks to place a massive order for PPE. Also, testing was an initial massive failure, and he was downplaying the risk of the virus publicly, then telling states they needed to do it themselves. Pure negligence.
