Someone mentioned they speculate Kim makes it out alive. I tend to agree with this. It just seems BCS has a bit lighter feel than BB and I don't think they would want a completely dark ending for one of the good characters; kind of like they did with Jessie. I consider Jimmy and Kim as "good" characters despite all their flaws. They could have a spinoff w/ Kim and Saul post-Gene but I get the feeling Vince is retiring the Breaking Bad Universe. As far as Nacho it's really hard to say which way the writers will go - he seems to be far to deep in the deep end.

One of the good characters? Not anymore

Seems to me they’re scrambling to make her more and more less good and thoroughly hate-able on purpose right now. Right before lthey try to pull off whatever they’re trying to pull off.

And I’m not just talking about how she chews food like a dirty hobo with rabies now. They’ve also masculinized her (while making Jimmy her bumbling male subordinate) and she now dresses and acts like a male mortician. I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if there’s a scene coming up where she pees in a men’s room urinal in a squat stance to prove how assertive and powerful she is.

Again, she isn’t one of the good characters anymore whatsoever IMO. Remember what her plan is: It’s to frame and destroy an innocent man out of spite rage and liberal self righteousness and hatred. Listen to her words. The “rich kid” this . The “rich kid” that! He set up poor pitiful innocent Felipe her new pro bono client.. Gross.

New Kim deserves to die now. I’m actively pulling for it.

Favorite Line Moment of episode 2:

-Mike is in Nacho supremes apartment after long duck dong’s niece and friend are sent packing:

-Vertical lines framing Mike on both sides while he is measuring the safe

-then what happens ?

-oh, nothing much ….

-just Mike extending a yellow tape measure line straight down the middle

-and confirming everything

I was watching El Camino this weekend and thinking about Robert Forster(The Disappearer). I was wondering how they will handle the actor's death in BCS. I would think they recast his role. It's such a tough role to recast but it seems like the disappearer would have to be part of season 6 in both Saul's present and future.

The trailer hype videos were deceptively edited

Its kind of cheap and scummy, butoh well, this show is already moving 20 times faster than normal so we’ll see

Also, the blue flower growing by the glass shard where Nacho offed himself was a decent facemelter when it came full circle in the end. As always, not trying to be mystical, but Nachos lines became circles in the end if you were paying attention. Circles everywhere

Keep watch for circles going forward. If you see them, it’s curtains

during the open I was like 'wtf is this' and I didn't really think back to it after the ending, but AMC ran the episode back immediately after so it was cool going from the nacho scene then right into the flower/glass scene.

Do they let you record the replay? My record functions did not work on either my YTTV account nor my Xfinity account for the main airing.

Just did a dvr rewatch without commercials. Sheesh, the episode is only about 35 minutes without all the commercials

Biggest melter I didn’t even pick up on the first time is that the glass shard in the dirt next to the blue flower in the opening scene…that Nacho used to cut the zip ties…. is from when Fring dropped that water glass in the wood paneled office trailer in episode 1 this season

Remember when Gus broke the glass and he cleaned it up so methodically like only Gus Fring would do and then put it in the trash and wiped his hands with a handkerchief? That’s what shot of Nacho looking into the trash can and you see 4 nachos reflected back is all about. When Mike goes outside to convince Gus he needs to set up a sniper nest.

That’s really odd that they’d go to such great lengths to set up a glass shard origin. Need to go back and watch the scene from when Gus dropped the glass to remember what they were talking about when it happened

Anyway the other thing I missed is that the super odd unique rock formations from the intro were meant as another landmark to tip you off at the end of episode. They pass them in the van on way to Nachos execution and they’re rubbed in your nose screaming for you to notice

Finally Kims hateability went up 200% even though she was only on screen 3 minutes. She didn’t eat anything in a gross way this time but I dare you to try and drink a beer as weirdly as she does. The gross sound effects make it sound like 15% of the beer sip gets swallowed and the rest falls back in the bottle with an annoying fake tinkle sound effect. It’s disgusting . She’s also wearing the exact same outfit as the murder twins are wearing at Nachos execution. I’m pulling for Howard to defeat these pathetic post-it note losers

What if she chokes to death on an olive while horking, and that’s what turns Jimmy fully into Saul. That would be my greatest victory since predicting Chuck would die in a house fire a year before it happened. I’m telling you dude, her repulsive table manners have meaning.

Also, on Nacho’s execution, I heard this one on the show podcast…Remember the name of the motel where Nacho hides out while Gus is setting him up? “Ocotillo “

Look up what Ocotillo means.

is that the plant that grew up where he died?

I swear some of the deep stuff on this show goes so far over my head when watching. i'll read other sites with people pointing out all these connections and layered meanings on things that I completely missed ha.

I saw the showrunner say the ending is heartbreaking which leads me to believe that Kim probably dies or goes to prison and then Gene gets made and caught by the authorities. It seems like they might have a good ending for them after what happened to Mike and then the BB universe gave us Jessie's happy ending but we'll see.

So what did everyone think about Episode 4: The Horkening? Can you believe they're really doing this? That theyre making Kim's gross way of eating things part of how the whole thing ends.

How about that bedroom scene where Kim is suppose to be all sexy in her short shorts getting hot and bothered at pillow talk about her two favorite subjects: evil con-scams and oh so pure and righteous pro bono work? (Hmmm quite a contrast there) She gets so workd up and turned on that you think she's about to jump Saul's bones, but what does she do instead??? She reaches over to the nightstand beside the bed into the shadows (why the hell was it in shadows and not recognizable anyway??!) and grabs something resembling a vienna sausage chunk off an hor doerve tray, then gnaw-horks it like a squirrel. And then licks all five fingers at least twice each for about 11 seconds complete with sound effects. Repulsive.

THen there's the scene where she's back behind bars at the el camino diner selflessly and oh so righteously helping another one of her downtrodden defenseless pro bono clients that's been unfairly abused by the man and chewed up and spit out by the system..(gag).. She's got a triple nacho burger and fries next to her that she was going to gnaw down on, but heroically offers it to her client instead. Just imagine how bad she wanted to dominate that burger but she gave it away. WHich is the writers way of showing us her mindset that she actually believes she is the good guy and not the wicked person she has awkwardly become. Then.. She even encourages the downtrodden client to take his time with the burger, actually directing him on how to hork, and he complies. He proceeds to ferociously gobble and cheek-pack that thing like he hasn't eaten in a week. Which is unreal, and is obviously him trying to mimic how he's seen her eat food before. Which I guess we're suppose to believe is typical behavior for people who are star struck in the presence of super heroes do-gooders like Kim who also happen to be part-time petty scumbag deceitful lying spiteful jealous con-artists. And the client wasn't only one to do that. Saul gnawed that diaggonally sliced tuna sandwich pretty aggresively while he was on the ear phone at courthouse lunch table that nobody would sit at him with. So Kims manners are now contagious. Great.

But none of that was even the most egregious though. HOw about the way the episode ended? We get to the underwhelming ending where we see the genesis of Saul's BB office and as the newly cucked Jimmy sheepishly asks for approval from the one who now wears the pants in the relationship, she starts listing off pros and cons about the location. And what is the one thing she gets most excited about?? What's the one thing that seals the deal and allows Jimmy to get approval from his ice cold frigid boss lady??.... It's the fact that shes says the office is right around the corner from Taco Cabanzo. She's thinking about fricking tacos! And then the climax of the episode ends with two simple words from Kim....... "I'm starving"...and then they stroll off into the night to go to Taco Cabanzo so Kim can hork out. Just unbelievable.

How can this be real. It's weird as hell. And now the choice for Cinnabun as Gene's hideoout is making more and more sense. I can almost gurantee we see her eat one soon.
