I believe that as well. And the subsidies are to fill the gap while the negotiations take place.

We’ll never get to zero tariffs as long as our opponents don’t think we have the nerve to stick to our guns.

Plus it’s insane that we think there was free trade anyway. It’s been pretty obvious that other countries had no problem restricting our goods. Trump is shoving it back at them to get them to the table.

I don’t know why people can’t get this.

Have you ever noticed the song that plays the second Trump ends one of his rock star America rallies?

It was the same song played immediately when Trump dropped the mic at the end of every campaign rally. And occupies the same exact spot in the musical rotation at his rallies as President today....

100% not by accident.

Thanks Bacon they are unnecessary and due to poor policies. Not typical reason for subsidies.

I hitched a ride with a vending machine repairman. He said he's been down this road more than twice. He was high on intellectualism. I've never been there, but the brochure looks nice. Jump in, let's go. Lay back, enjoy the show. Everybody gets high. Everybody gets low. These are the days where anything goes.

It was the single stat leader of GSB downvotes by thousands. Plural. I refuse to type his name though.

Its meaningless. (On this side)

I think Kemp wins big. Still, I live in a diverse area with a lot of African Americans. The primary election was PACKED with African American voters. Abrams is doing a really solid job igniting the Democratic base and getting African American voters out. Still, that is only going to carry urban counties like Douglas, Dekalb, Fulton, Muscogee, Chatham, and Richmond Counties. The Dems keep pointing at the 2008 Obama election where Ga went Democrat. Those days are over. I think Kemp will win with something like 55%.

I wish you were right but you are dead wrong. Georgia’s demographics have been changing steadily since 2000. Before then, most blacks lived in the city and white suburbs were on the perimeter and around it. Then the south side went black, then the east side and now, the west side. Gwinnett is becoming more Dem as well. Yes, 50+ miles out of Atlanta is still mostly white but, because of the black migration from NY/NJ to Atlanta- it is only a matter of time before this solid red state turns purple and then blue. Give it another 4-8 years.

I will take a repeat of the 2008 election (Georgia didn't go democrat).

Only an idiot would point to 2008 as a reason for optimism for the Democratic party in Georgia (not calling you an idiot. But whomever you heard... I'm guessing Abrams... touting that as optimism)

That didn't happen. Georgia went for McCain, and again for Romney in the reelection. Where the frick do you get your news and history from?

What the frick is wrong with you? Where are you from? What grade are you in?

Except that many many black people, particularly the middle class black people in the areas you speak of, are feeling more and more alienated by the far left day after day, and enjoy the lowest black unemployment rate in American history. Black doesn't necessarily mean Democrat... times are changing indeed.

Why the frick does it even matter what color people are?

Get immigration under control, stop letting foreign countries rip us off, stop wasteful government spending and lower taxes for working people, and mind your own fricking business and live your life. Why does that have to be a white thing?

It isn't. It's an American thing.

Identity politics is on the way out, further and further with every day that goes by that our country gets stronger for everybody.

How does a democrat argue with that?

How do you argue against the lowest black unemployment in the country's history? How do you argue against the denuclearization of North Korea? How do you argue against getting Nato to pay into their own militaries to their previously pledged levels? How do you argue against organized immigration? How do you argue against the fall of ISIS? I could go on, but I think that's enough for you to digest at the moment.

I already anticipate what your reply will be. I'm Charlotte. You are a fly.

Wish you were right but wrong again. Blacks vote at about a 90% clip for Democrats - it’s the most solid voting block out there. It shouldn’t be this way but the Democrat machine invests a lot of money and energy into painting Republicans as racist and, for the most part, their strategy has worked.

This is not new though. Atlanta is dark blue. Again this isn’t new and GA is still a red state and will be come November
