Started out with a minor cold right before the SB. Then got food poisoning from a restaurant. Got over it. Then got Bronchitis, Dr prescribed me with steroids, antibiotics. Then an ear infection. Had to go back to the DR and get more antibiotics for my ears. Going to NOLA didnt help.

Getting older sucks and feel like crap.

Hope you guys stay away from this nasty shite.

I got a bad cold and sinus infection about 2 weeks ago. Dr gave me strong antibiotics and just finished them tonight. Better but my nose won't stop running. Dr says if it keeps on another week she wants me to see an ENT specialist as this sinus thing recurs 3 or 4 times a year.
Hope you are ok soon.
PS: I'm way older than you.

WG apparently has a special throat lozenges sauce that can take care of that for you

Would like to know what that remedy is. The cough suppressant is doing ok. Any suggestions would be great.

I enjoy a good fever.

Get coddled.

Lay on sofa with a blanky. Snuggle, go back to childhood in your mind.

Eat cheetos and watch netflix, all day.

If the coughing is a problem at night, swig some Nyquil.

Proclaim "I hope I'm better tomorrow" an outright lie.

Trend:
-both patients in thread so far, go to doctor when they have a simple cold.
-and both are administered antibiotics

Result:
-both complain of suffering chronic illnesses multiple times a year.

Theory:
- what if instead of going to doctor for colds and taking antibiotics
-you just let your body heal itself
-this way, your immune system gets stronger and you will get sick less often
-never mind, doctor fix boo boo, big pharma antibiotics good, we’re doomed

Diagnosis:
-Your meds are making you sick.

Treatment:
-Get off magic “meds”
-take a walk, swim in a lake

First sign of getting a cold, take a 500mg zinc and a 1000mg vitamin c. Won’t prevent it (NOTHING will), but it will definitely lessen the hit.

I’ve dealt with three sinus infections over the last month and a half. Took those two things daily and let my body do the rest. No need for anything else. Just tough it out. My oldest kid (11) just yesterday started getting over having flu strains A and B. I’d have gladly taken it in his place if I could.

Getting older can suck, but it’s never as bad as watching your kids suffer with this crap.

I take 1000mg’s of vitamin C every day. It’s good for all kinds of things. If I’m sick, I’ll take a thousand mg every 4 or 5 hours.

Colloidal silver is good for the colds too. Some people will laugh at that, but then they’ll take a candy flavored concoction called “Coldeeze” because TV said it’s ok....which fries your taste buds off for a third of what colloidal silver can do.

Man, I would trade for all of that over what I’ve been through the last 3 months. Man, I’ve been in a lot of pain. Luckily it’s just pain and nothing else and I can get well soon. But I’ve gone fricken crazy

Sounds like me since about the time that hurricane came through minus the food poisoning. I had a nasty cough for 3 months and finally just got better. What’s interesting is that about a week and half ago I stopped using all tobacco products. I dipped Copenhagen and was an occasional smoker. Feeling much better after cutting those out.

Pour hydrogen peroxide in the ears right when you feel the cold coming on. Do it every few hours. You can hear all the bullshite bubbling out plus it feels amazing. That shite works. It's science.

Completely agree with you about the big pharm companies but there are some things that meds are warranted. Feeling a lot better this morning (so far).

Ive done that in the past but you have to be careful using that stuff in your ears as it can burn the skin. Be careful using that stuff in your ears.
