After playing 12 games at a high level, we played one crappy game, both on offense and defense.

Just like Bama did against A&M.

I believe we shake this off, and don't play a game like this again.

The Dawgs we have seen all season will be back for the post-season.

They gotta figure out what was causing the bad reads by the secondary, we had too many busted coverages.

Gotta protect the ball in the red zone and get points.

Yup, hopefully a good learning experience that helps us in the play-offs.

Some of that had to do with Brice having 10 seconds to decide who would get open first.

Isn't Kirby supposed to be an expert on the secondary ?

If so, WTF??

1. We aren't as bad as the loss made it seem on Saturday.

2. We aren't as good as our 12 wins indicated either.

The truth lies in between, but if I were a betting man, I'd say it's closer to #1 than #2.

So I've seen stetson play bama twice. 5 turnovers . The thing is none of the teams weve faced in the regular season have the offensive prowess of Alabama . Stetson is fine if he can throw under 25 attempts. When you need to win a shootout, his efficiency goes down the drain .

No, no, no. The proper use of the mantra from the Richt years is "It's just one game."

I give Stetson props for his play this year. I also saw how he has played against elite defenses. There is a reason Alabama's had coach had no problem pulling a 4-5 star QB out of a championship game to replace him with another. Blown coverages is a team fix, seeing the field and understanding where to put the football in pressure situations is a talent issue. Bennett has reached his ceiling playing Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida, Playing Alabama and Michigan is a ceiling he can't reach.

As easy as it is to blame Stetson, this loss is not on him. Don’t get me wrong he didn’t bring UGA, and silence all of the doubters. The second quarter, into the first drive of the third quarter reminded me of a Wille Martinez led defense. This game is on the defensive front, and the secondary!

Our whole team (and coaching staff), especially defense, seemed out of sorts after their first touchdown.

Like Kirby said before the game, its how your react to the punch. They took the first punch and hit back harder. And we seemed shell shocked.

I believe the team will learn from this and bounce back. Based on the body of work during this season, we are still the best team in the country.

“One bad game “ lol the game that mattered most at that point. The biggest game so far of the season. Against the team we can’t get over the hump with. When they’ve looked bad all year. Yeah lol just one bad game.

Sure, but people add like its the end of the world, and our team is shite. Its not. Bama had a bad game against A&M. They rebounded. So can we.

We still have the NC ahead of us.

I suppose you’re right about still having the chance but my god. I’m a gambler and I would Probly put my money on bama in a rematch and hope I’m wrong. We just can’t beat em for whatever reason. It’s mental.

Rat poison comes for everyone, sooner or later. I have to believe they took Bama as a foregone conclusion based on their own play, and Bama's lackluster performances on the back half of the season.

Plus based on both teams bodies of work, we had no reason to believe what we've done to teams all year wasn't going to work with Bama. No reason. The game was still tight going into half. We stack up better than A&M, Arky, AU, etc. for defense.

Also, after a year of teaching discipline and dealing with adversity, how would it look for CKS to jerk Bennett at the first sign of diversity? What message does that send?

So far, in the last two matchups, playing Alabama is a ceiling that the entire team can't reach. Bennett doesn't lack for company.

Generating a pass rush would help. Let's face it, Bama has elite WRs and QB. Our secondary has always been suspect. You could see that all season long against lesser opponents.
