they seem convinced Fromm is a terrible QB or that their defense is on Auburn's level

OU's defense is crap. Look at their opponents' game stats; average & bad teams racked up big yards in either pass or run. While GA blows out the teams we should, OU's sucky D allowed unranked teams to hang around, take the lead late, even have a shot at a win (see Baylor, Kansas St, Texas, & Iowa St).

OU's been skating on thin ice, hiding their shite D behind an efficient offense. What happens when they meet a balanced team? A team with a good D & a good O -- that runs & passes.

The Sooners break. And their fans frenzied shouts of Fire DC Stoops are answered.

7-5 Iowa St: 368 pass ... LOL
6-6 Texas 139 rush; 289 pass ... OU by 5

There are lots of reasonable posters here, then there is you.

I’ve not said that we have a good pass D. I do think we are good enough to defend UGA.

Of course you're not going to claim OU's pass D as good -- as seen in actual games, they give up a lot of yards to average QBs. It's why they're ranked 87 nationally & why OU doesn't blow every average to bad team away.

You shouldn't claim OU's rush D (#40 nationally) as anything more than average to good either. Bc in actual games, they've given up:

5-7 Tulane -- 237
6-6 W.Va -- 251
7-5 KSt -- 268
9-3 OkSt -- 213

Your defense is so bad that during the regular season, your team required a Heisman QB to beat average teams by 5-8 points. Except for Iowa State who gave OU their worst home loss in 40 years.

So aside from your feelings, why would you think OU "good enough to defend UGA"?

The OU D is plenty good enough to stop UGA from scoring more than the OU O will. We’ve defended well enough against offenses who are statistically better that UGA (albeit different styles.

OUs D doesn’t have to be good, just good enough.

It’s funny that the only people who are confident that UGA will win are the people on here.

The line moving to make us the favorite would say otherwise. A lot of money went our way for the books to shift to us giving up points.

Plus most of are lot more tempered in our opinion than your boys on Landthieves.

The line opened with OU as favorite. As bets have come in for UGA to cover the line has moved.

When Vegas set the line, they liked OU.

It's not; it won't be.
Why do you only beat crap teams like Baylor, KSt, & Texas by a few points?

You haven't faced an offense like ours; your D's gonna be wasted second half.
You haven't faced a defense like ours; your O's gonna face far more 3rd & longs.

It will be the typical indicators that determine the winner.

Turnovers
Redzone efficiency
3rd down efficiency

OU has the added threat of the home run ball.

The other big variable is special teams. How has OU been this season?

This place is way too much of a circle jerk for an opposing fan to get anything out of it.

I’ll be back on New Year’s Day to bask in the glory of a win or wish you all good luck in the championship.

Dude the Sooner defense especially against the pass is horrible. Fromm isn't amazing but he is a game manager. If y'all can't contain the rush, your offense won't see the field enough to get a win

Lol. He's realizing the OU defense isn't good & has no way to spin it.

We didn't even get to discuss their overrated OLine, which has never been challenged by a team like GA.
