Best news I have heard all day, whew close one....ye, anyone that ruffles the country club attitude as much as Pruitt deserves a lifetime contract.... the man is ugas own folk hero. Modern day Robin hood stealing all McGarity s money and giving it to football...

Not a particularly attractive job imo. Muschamp was leaving regardless, which isn't a good look.

Only reason he goes there is because he doesn't have a better option.

Bama is much bigger threat, imo. PErfect scenario is them promoting Tucker to DC and we keep Pruitt.

If we keep Pruitt, there is no doubt in my mind we have a top 2 recruiting class.

I can't envision a scenario where Pruitt isn't the number 1 choice for DC at Bama. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, because I think he'll be the top guy on both boards now. I would imagine that Alabama will be able to offer him more money, but could be wrong on that

No doubt. I haven't seen anything official on this at all. Here's hoping that they shift gears to retaining Pruitt if true.

I was told by some folks in Athens that know Pruitt and his wife that he has a strong dislike for Saban. If he goes back to Bama, it's going to cost y'all some serious money

Seems that the Augusta National crew is full of piss and vinegar. Tired of losing; don't be surprised if they go toe to toe with Bama on spending.

Georgia can pay him just as much. He already makes $1.3M. Whether they're willing to go way higher than that is a different question.

Are we paying Agent Muschamp for USCe? That place is so screwed already that I think he should discount his rate this time or do it pro bono.

Seeing as how Georgia is a more profitable football program than Bama, I'm gonna take a shot and say you're wrong. The question does not concern our ABILITY to pay, only our WILLINGNESS to do so. There's a difference.

Saban is not going to outbid us, he will just groom a new superstar DC for a half what we pay pruitt..

If they take Boom over RichRod or Riley, they're Dumber than I give them credit for.

Say UGA is willing to pay him ~$1.6M, just for argument's sake. Is he even worth it to Bama to pay more than that?

At some point you have to look at candidate 2.
