Gonna go ahead and say Beck is done. From knowing what little I know about the injuries he could have potentially suffered and the signs he exhibited afterward, I would bet my paycheck he's out and if he plays again in the NFL it may not even be next year. That was a gruesome hit based on how it happened. You can bet Courson and Kirby know exactly what the injury is and what's the prognosis by now. Hope I'm wrong and wish the kid the best going forward no matter what fate has in store for him.

Not sure what you're looking for here. Maybe it's a " You were right and I was wrong", a "gotcha" moment, or maybe you are asking earnestly. I can only give you an honest answer. Right or wrong, I haven't made the mental transition from comparing this teams resume to the other teams in the final 12. I judge the team based on the 21, 22, 23 team's standard. Kirby emphasizes over and over again and has for years, UGA measures itself against how it plays to "The Standard", not to how well it does against the other team(s). If he's gonna measure a team to a The Standard, I accept it. By that measuring stick No they didn't "deserve" to be in the playoffs. This team is a shadow of those teams.

Now fast forward to today and a separate context. We have now won the SECCG and entered the era of the 12 team playoff. Almost every team in the playoffs has deep flaws. Some worse than ours, so in that context do we "deserve" to be in based on the criteria? Yes. Not sure if that is what you were looking for , but it's an honest, in context, explanation of my rationale then and now.

Guess I could have shortened it to: If you define "deserve" comparing this team to The Standard, No. If you define "deserve" comparing us to other teams, Yes.

Why are we playing in the Sugar Bowl and not the Peach? I thought teams were able to select which bowl they wanted to play in if they got the bye.

I think in a normal offense with our usual or recent wr and te talent beck gives us by far the best chance, but with this group or skill positions Stockton might end up being a blessing. We will see.
