Agree Bennett is very unlikely but not so sure on Capel. Depends on how long Coach K will continue and there are several Duke guys who would be in the running for that (Marquette & Northwestern HCs). Think Capel would consider us. But regardless, there are plenty of options out there better than what we are content with. I appreciate what Fox did his first 6 years to get us out of the basement but the message has grown stale and the rest of the SEC has upped its game. Coach Fox is probably bottom 4 coach in the SEC right now.

I think Tom Crean would be a good fit. We need to bypass hiring a coach outside the power 5 like we did with Felton and Fox. Go get a proven commodity

Capel will not be Duke's next head coach. Who knows if that program will hire from within or from Duke grads. They havent had to hire someone in 30+ years. They might go for a great coach like Marshall from Wichita State, Billy Donovan, or Brad Stevens.

Capel is ready for his next job after being under K for a number of years. He had a descent stint at Oklahoma, and he is the top recruiter for Duke....K doesnt go out and do much with recruits. He doesnt have to.

Jeff Capel would be a good hire. Look at his record at Oklahoma and the number of 5* players he brought in before he was forced out, and the team bottomed out with no one.

Fits Georgia perfectly. Wouldnt be my first choice, but would be top 5.

A flawed established coach is exactly what we need to get us going, I would take Pitino in a heartbeat if he walks on the Louisville stuff.

We need to hire a sure thing and he is as close to one as there is.

Came in to say a lot of this. Capel would be a great hire IMO.

I’ve not known who Capel was until I googled him and saw a picture. I like that he is black. I think he would be able to appeal to the recruits that we want better.

Then again, the style of play would be a big deal.

Whoever they get better find a way to make more shots go in outside of 15 feet.

Style of play doesn't mean anything if you're winning. Virginia isn't looking to fire Tony Bennett anytime soon

Style of play determines everything. People want Fox gone for two reasons, they don’t like his style of play and we aren’t winning as big as we’d like.

Style of play would determine how aggressive or conservative we are. I would love to see us more aggressive on the defensive end and to use the aggressiveness of defenders against them.

Would love to see us deny the ball more but we choose to stay in front. Would love to see our bigs help on screens more but we don’t. Would also like to see a variation of press from time to time.

Count me in the camp that DGAS what our "style of play" is, I just want to see people who look like they've played basketball before which Fox's system doesn't really allow. We have no offensive identity besides throw it in teh high post and then everyone stand around for a while and see what happens. I don't care if we go sloooooow like virginia or run for 40 minutes, people just want to see a product that looks like it's main focus is to put the ball in the hoop which ours does not. Drawing up an adequate in bound pass play would be nice as well.
