He wasn’t offsides and woulda given us the ball at their 20. We lost the game many other ways, but I have a big bet with my ND buddy about the offsides

Watching Bell drop 3/4 passes and vertically that deep one all alone was the whole season in a nutshell in one shot

We are also seeing how special the 2 receivers in the Pros were and their replacements were not as good as them. I don't think that is regression.

So we need multiple future rookie all-pros to move the ball competently? If so, we are fricked.

No, his reason for firing everyone is the returning offensive players regressed. Stats show they really didn’t, but they did not replace the productivity of the two NFL All rookie talents.

I think one could reasonably argue that a competent offensive coaching staff could have gotten more productivity out of our current group. I mean I watch teams all over the country with average arse dudes score 30 all the time.

Arian Smith is your reasoning on why we didn’t regress?

Btw Arian has 1 reception today

Below is what I was responding to.

Besides Cash Jones, every single player on offense who saw significant playing time in 2023 regressed in 2024.

That's enough of a case for me.

Georgia scored 7 points or less in the first half 8 times this season. There's another reason to replace Bobo, Searles, and Coley.

Guys like Delp, Bell, and Lovett should have taken big leaps this season, and none of them did. Bell and Lovett are two of the guys who regressed badly from last season.

Lovett had better stats and more drops this year.

Bell also was better statistically in all facets.

They got more targets because someone had to get targets. They did not improve at all. Bell dropped a lot of passes this season that he caught last season. Lovett also dropped a lot of catchable passes.

*Lovett led the team in drops. Guess who didn’t have one?

If you look at the stats they didn’t regress. They most certainly had drops that killed drives and momentum.

At the end of the day, the 1 thing that stood out about this offense to me was way too many times, 10 guys did their job and 1 missed. That needs to be fixed.

That is a problem at the coaching level if he happens frequently like it did this season

Maybe you see it differently, but to me, making the same mistakes over and over and over again is the sign of a poorly coached team. Either the players aren't good enough to do what the coaches are asking them to do, they don't understand what the coaches are asking them to do, or they are ignoring what the coaches are asking them to do.
