Chubb needs 549 yards to pass McFadden for 2nd all time rush yards in SEC. Do you think he will do it over the rest of the season?

LINK

I think he does it and puts space between him and McFadden.

Would require a 91.5 ypg average if only evaluating through the remainder of the regular season.

Pretty sure conference championships and bowl games count though now IIRC?

If make SECCG, 78.4 ypg

If add in bowl game, 68.6 ypg

If you want to dream big, add in CFP + NCG appearance and it goes to 61 ypg.

I have a hard time seeing Chubb averaging less than 70 YPG barring something very bad happening... not even willing to go there. Could easily see another 120-150 yard game next week for him and that's with him sitting probably all or nearly all of the second half. Mizzou's defense has been atrocious.

Leading rusher in SEC too

The last 3 games he's had exactly 16 carries. That seems to be his number

#27 and #1 both increased their draft stock yesterday. Glad for them, both DGDs.

It's going to be special for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, the LSU fans are back out of their hole.

Secondly, I already know the LSU narrative is going to be that our OL is better and Fromm is better.

I have special plans for those stories.

Just occurred to me...

Normally a running back gets high ypc by running 1 yd, 5 yd, 2 yd, -3 yd, 4 yd, 45 yd.

In Chubb's case his longest run of the season is only 33 yds (numb3rs).

He is legit plowing up to that average, not alot of big runs to pad the ypc stat.

Wanna just point out....

Chubb JUST NOW played a full three years worth of games (minus 1 if you count a bowl game, so you could make this look even better this time next week), but he just hit 4,042 yards and a 6.5 average per carry for those three years of play.

Fournette? 3,830 yards and 6.2 average per carry in the same span. And never any significant yardage against Bama.

Advantage: [CHUBB] FOURNETTE
