Don’t think he played at all today. Saw Juwan Taylor out there first series.

Guessing he got hurt Thursday or Friday?

That’s absolutely disastrous for us. He is our best ILB by far.

The minuscule chances of beating Bama become even smaller without him, and now there are some real concerns around being able to stop the run vs Tech next week.

Horrible luck with injuries this year.

I hate that for him. He's our best linebacker and was playing great ball in the last 3 games.

Hopefully it's just a minor sprain or something. We need him to get back in a hurry.

Just terrible. Best player at our weakest position.

They said it on the radio coverage pregame. He was a captain and didn’t come out for the coin toss. They will know more tomorrow, but looks like he should be back for Bama.

Will suck to have him out vs Tech. ILB is absolutely key vs the triple option

This especially. With a triple option team, you need an ILB that can stand strong for the inside dive play, then skate to the DE position for the QB keeper, then all the way out to the sideline for the pitch. It takes a lot of discipline and speed. Rice has a lot of speed.

Sometimes wearing the boot is purely preventative. Let's wait and see what they say tomorrow.

This is the only thing I've heard (right after the game)

“Not sure to what extent or how bad it is; he was just planting and driving, planting and driving,” Smart said after the 66-27 win over UMass at Sanford Stadium. “Then he said his foot was bothering him. So we did x-rays. I’m not sure the complete verdict, but he was ruled out for the game.”

I also read somewhere today, cant remember where, that he heard a popping sound in his foot.
