Rice was reminding me of Roquan during the Bowl game. He played with a lot of speed and confidence from sideline to sideline and punished ballcarriers.

Dude D is going to be in best ever territory next year. My only concern is depth on the d-line. And don't forget Tindall in the middle too. Reese is an idiot for transferring, he would be on the 2 deep.

We need all hands on deck on that side of the ball, this year.

Is it possible that this defense could be even better than the one we just said goodbye to? We got some really young guys a lot of experience.

That defense looked really explosive and created alot of pressure in the Sugar Bowl. Maybe we jumped the gun on 2019... 2020 is lining up nicely.

I know we lose a lot of seniors.
But we have stars (Walker, Carter, Davis). We have experience (Rochester, Herring, Davis, Wyatt).
And we have a bunch or new guys in the past 2 classes that will be able to restock the seniors (Carter, Norton, Logue, Stackhouse, Brinson. Mitchell, Walthour).

I'm excited about the DL.
Davis is a gamechanger.
Walker is a gamechanger.
I'm hoping Carter is a gamechanger.
Herring is a playmaker
Wyatt is a playmaker
I'm hoping rochester is a playmaker.

Barnett was a bit of an unsung hero in 2019. But I hope we can find consistency with Rochester & Mitchell.

Rochester needed time to heal. He's a big guy putting lots of pressure on that knee. He looked good in brief appearances this year. I'm expecting big things from him if he gets healthy and in shape.

The number of players we rotated this year will pay dividends. Consistent recruiting gives you this opportunity. It has to also help with recruiting.

Agreed. Rochester will be 23 years old next season. There is value to having that maturity (physical, mental, experience) in the ttrenches. I feel confident that he will make plays. I wouldnt be shocked if he can do better than that (work himself into the NFL).

His tape is amazing, and he looks really athletic, which has been the #1 indicator for guys like Davis and Walker. He also had a really good week of practice for the All-American game, and a solid performance during the game. Really excited to see him on campus.

Would also like to see a 300lb+ DT emerge before September. Hopefully Norton, Logue, Mitchell, etc. can contribute come Fall.

I've heard good things about Mitchell at the NT spot during the Sugar bowl practice.

One of our best assets is Davis. I'm very in tune to who will be getting reps when he is on the sidelines. And for who his replacement may be if he leaves early for the nfl.

Davis needs to lose some weight. Watching him against Baylor, he looked too heavy again.
