11 point road favorite at Arkansa. Been getting a lot of respect the last few weeks by the odds makers.

Won 5 straight games since losing to Georgia, all by at least 4 touchdowns. Averaging over 50 points per game since then.

Apparently looking like Georgia will be the unanimous media pick to win the East in 2018 with Missouri getting the second most chatter.

That escalated quickly.

They got killed by the two teams with a pulse in the East. USCe will be the 2nd team by the media next year.

Depends if Lock comes back...they absolutely deserve a mention along with SC.

UF is in a hole and UT isn't in the worst situation.Butch recruited pretty well and it should be the quickest turnaround of all the open SEC jobs.

Some teams get way better as the season goes on. Hard to deny 260 points in 5 games. I say Missouri will be pegged as the #2 team in the East next season. We disagree.

All offense, no defense will only go so far.

True. But it is an offense that can now trouble good defenses.

They have adapted their personnel and play calling since earlier in the year and it is working

Nothing wrong with their D-line at all.Secondary is a problem
though.

Against the following teams:
Idaho
Uconn
UF
UT
Vandy

Let's not get carried away here. Two of those teams have quit on their coach and two are non power 5. And Vandy has been getting shellacked ever since the Bama game.

There is your answer right there. They've always had a good QB and a few big, athletic receivers.

They might be, but they shouldn't be. Look at the teams they played during their losing streak, and then look at who they have played during their resurgence. Night and day.

The media and their fans will take this winning streak as proof of improvement....and to a certain degree they have. It's a miracle they didn't fold up like a cheap suit similar to Florida and Tennessee, but make no mistake about the teams they are scoring all those points against...they aren't very good.

Missouri wasn't as bad as they looked early in the season, and they aren't as good as they look right now.

Purdue is a pretty bad team and they looked horrible against them and I'd say their passing game and Lock was the 2nd best unit we played this year.

They have talent at QB,WR and D-line and some holes in other area especially their secondary but no reason why they can't challenge for 2nd in SECe if Lock stays...it's honestly not gonna be that difficult even with the youth SC brings back

They also lose Moore at WR which I didn't realize.
IF Lock comes back they'll be tough out.

Nobody is arguing that their passing game is bad. Their defense is the question mark.

You might be right. I just think SC is a better team right now, and will be a better team next year.

As for Purdue being bad? I would argue Purdue is better than Florida,Tennessee, Idaho, Vanderbilt or UConn right now. In fact, I would say Purdue is better than any team that Missouri has beaten. No doubt Purdue took them to the woodshed, but sometimes teams have bad games and look worse than they really are.
