Can anyone give a logical reason other than one's own faith why homosexuality is wrong?

Also, I do agree that this shouldn't be news. Every news station from ESPN to MSNBC to Fox News all have this sort of agenda they push and many stories aren't actual news. I could care less about little Timmy getting to see his star athlete or Fat Phuck losing 300 pounds using this new diet of eating right and exercising. I want to watch the news for quality information from around the world, not MTV with anchors.

I took a class that covered some topics including the logical reason why homosexuality is be wrong. I'll try to find the notes on it.

Explain what? Why do people want to make this news? While I don't agree with the lifestyle, there are gay people working at the grocery store and the bank as well. Why start a thread about it, or tell your kids? They wouldn't be aware of it unless you bring it up.

I hope he does not get drafted by Green Bay.

Though my preferred scenario is he ends up undrafted and unsigned by any team before the start of the season.

Logically, one could decipher the lifestyle as a deviation from the natural order as it serves only those engaged within the act itself. There can come no furtherance of a species from a homosexual act. Right, wrong...those are moral terminologies. One has a right to engage in any activity with respect to the rights of others. So long as you fail to aggress, you remain "right" in accordance to The Law.

That said, the lifestyle is certainly not normal. It is a deviation from what Nature has dictated for most species of life on this planet. Does this, then, make it "unnatural"? It still is derived from nature...maybe a mutation, then?

Whatever. If you can play the game and your teammates are down, play the fricking game. If you are a fig, and you be cool, you can hang with me. I've no problem with respectful people, dick suckers or not...

Exactly.

I have some friends that are gay, male and femake, I just don't go there.

Counterpoint:

It seems to me there is an evolutionary advantage to homosexuality. As it's been seen in other species, homosexual pairs bond together and raise orphaned or abandoned young. By doing this, they assist in providing for the next generation without adding to the population. I'd be curious to know if the rates of homosexuality increase as available resources decrease.

I just don't like gays in football.. don't know how else to say it.. It's taking the pussification of the game to another level.

At least that's honest. However, there have (likely) been gays in football since the days before leather helmets. You just don't want to be aware of it.

odd view

My personal opinion is people can do whatever they want just keep it to yourself. I am not screaming from rooftops about what goes down in my bedroom as it is personally no ones buisness. I also don't condemn those that are gay because I am also a sinner. We all have our sexsual desires and preferences that some may consider taboo or some of us may be missonary drones of the highest christian order but I think most would fall into the majority in reference to sinning and the things that go down in a bedroom. To each their own.

Abandoned young within the lesser animals usually are abandoned because of an evolutionary trait which leads to the parental unit(s) to cull out the weak as to give the strong a better chance to further the species.

I'm not sure it'll be the one or two open gays themselves so much that add to the pussification of the game……….Imo, it’ll be the busy-bodies that rally around these one or two people that will be constantly beating everyone over the head about it….and making it some civil rights crusade….that will cause the pussification....

For some reason, there’s a large group of people who take issues like this and use it as a way to make themselves appear more enlightened or righteous and better than the supposedly “intolerant” and “backwards” and “superstitious” people they look down their noses at. You can already see this happening in the two threads on this board. They don’t actually care about the gays so much as they care about their own image. And appearance.

In other words, get ready for NCAA pink helmet week in the coming years so that the busy-bodies can celebrate the “courage” and “bravery” of 0.00000001% of the college football player population in order to make themselves feel “enlightened” and “progressive“. What a joke……………….

Just think of all the offensive linemen that got their asses handed to them by a now openly gay football player, enough to make him the SEC defensive player of the year. We should have a week of commemoration to those that have to carry the embarrassment of being dominated by a goober gazer.

Could care less about Sam's personal life choices/inclinations. People who are getting worked up over this kind of stuff really need a hobby or something better to do with their time.

Starting with the media. Sam explicitly stated that he had "come out" as a fig to his teammates a year ago, and felt he should explicitly out himself to the general public in order to control the narrative once the media found out. He is basically saying that it is no big deal to him, and he is only speaking out because he knew the media would find out, latch on, and create a firestorm out of his control.

I can understand that, and blame him not.

Wanna say somebody was actually prepared to out him and that's why he went ahead and did it. Naturally because of the range of reactions our news outlets are gonna have a field day with it

Absolutely. Sex sells, and unnatural sex is a goldmine. Sam owned it, and in turn can remove speculation and innuendo from the circus, which would have most certainly been present had he not.

When this is over, maybe we can discuss football again. I'm glad the Ahabs caught their fricking White Whale. Now we can move on to the goose that lays the golden egg: trans-testicles.
