How the hell do you guys stand trying to debate logical points on the main board?
Everything gets distorted and turned around into something it’s not.
People can’t really be that dumb, so I assume you go into each subject knowing the people are either arguing with their emotions or being purposefully myopic and trolling.

That board has becoming increasingly worse throughout the years. I feel like a lot of us used to post over there but now for the most part we stay away.

I don't click on most threads (I don't click on a lot of threads on the GSB).
I usually respond when I see something that is inaccurate.
Or I respond when it appears that someone is using words that have no meaning and ask them to put meaning behind it (they usually turtle).
Arguing with people makes you better at arguing. It is a challenge. And in some ways, sharpens observations. Or if I'm researching something, I find patterns that I didn't know before.
I like UGA content. Whether I agree with it or not.

Unfortunately when I'm in a thread, I'm not focused on the OP. I'm focused on the content in the 1 post that I am making a response.
It is awful for pulling threads off topic.
Fortunately, the other board has mods that pinch and pull things to the appropriate thread pretty regularly on my behalf and don't make a stink about it.

Don't get personally involved. Don't take them seriously.
There are some guys on there that read threads that don't take part in the threads, so it is more for their benefit.

This is a large part of it. It is a challenge to not allow someone to work you into a corner, and then to try to work them into a corner.

Fair enough…I don’t get involved over there very often. It’s frustrating when I do. I just see you guys in there mixing it up a lot. Tried to get involved in a thread earlier and it was just lunacy. Lol.

Most of the posting on the money board is sharing anecdotal experiences (good and bad) so someone (OP) can hopefully be wiser with a current scenario.
But occasionally, someone repeats an old wives tail and deserves to be called out on it (i.e. everyone will die someday. So everyone should buy some whole life insurance).

I've mostly stopped trying to have rational discussion on there. People always say "it's always been like this!" but no tf it hasn't. Sure trolls have always been there but you used to could still have some good old fashioned sports talk with other fanbases. Now it's just a cesspool of mostly alters or people half my age that either don't know wtf they're talking about or are just intentionally antagonistic. People like SOG on there are a dying breed.
I'm addicted though so I'll still jump in here and there.

I agree. We actually have a good number of smart fans. Bama has a few.

He used to pull that schtick here, and it was annoying, Jefferson once called him out as Tarzan and a gnat gwawing into sweaty ballsack and some other Jefferson style comparisons, but when DJ does it to other fanbases in defense of UGA on the SECRant, I admire it. He'll go round and round for 14 pages with anyone, he never taps out.
