Michael J. Fox could draw up better plays than Coley.

It won’t be popular or politically correct but if FSU fires Taggart id throw the world at Kendal Briles.

Kirby needs to get out of the offense all together. I am convinced he is part of the problem. Turn 100% of the offense over to someone you trust...no meddling. Objective to be balanced and score as many points with the talent given.

Who would Kirby trust?...Bobo. They are friends. Bobo was in Kirby's wedding and vice versa. I also heard a rumor if Kirby would have been offered the Auburn job many years ago Bobo would have left UGA to be his OC at Auburn.

He is the guy and a definite upgrade over Coley.

Besides his last name, what has he proven as a coordinator? That's like wanting to hire Steve Spurrier Jr.

I'm on the Bobo train, but I have a feeling Coley will be calling plays again next season.

I have no doubt that Coley will be our OC next year but a guy can dream.

That said, Briles has shown a lot IMO. Pretty sure he had a big hand in those offenses at Houston and Baylor. Idk if FSU is a fair assessment this early on but they seem less pedestrian through the air with far less.

Lane Kiffen. He's a cancer but knows a lot more about innovative offenses that anything we've had in years...

I'd guess Kiffin is happy slaying poon in Boca.

This OC job with the amount of talent the OC would have to work with should have people lining up to apply for it. The fact that we had to settle for Coley tells me that Kirby either wants to meddle in the offense, values recruiting over scheming/playcalling, or both. I think it's both and he's going to have to change his philosophy on that.

Why do people think Bobo would come back unless it's the head job? Some of you are functionally retarded I swear.

You're not paying attention to the college football landscape. Bobo wouldn't voluntarily leave his HC job at Colorado State for the OC job at Georgia. We know this. Bobo is on the verge of getting fired out there and will probably be available.

You're a fricking moron.

Last year the AD at Colorado State wrote a letter to football season ticket holders saying the status quo was unacceptable and marked improvement needed to be made in 2019. Well "marked improvement" ain't happening. Colorado State will probably be a 3-9 team by season's end. Bobo will be fired at season's end. Nobody will hire Bobo as a head coach. He will go back to being an OC somewhere and rebuild his stock. No better place then UGA.

Based on Kirby's last in-house promotions for OC and DC, Todd Hartley is probably next in line. Pretty good recruiter, will have to learn on the job, will undoubtedly be happy to let Kirby dictate offensive strategy. That seems like what Smart is looking for.

Echoing others - Chad Morris would be a good pickup at OC.

Why would the current head coach hire the OC from the old regime?

You are a fricking idiot.

Because he knows how to coach an offense and wants to potentially be a part of winning a championship at Georgia?

I don't think it'll happen simply because CKS and Bobo are too good of friends, but it wouldn't be an idiotic idea to consider him if the position were open.
