Are you saying the police don’t actually smell it or are you saying they do but it’s a dumb excuse to search a car?

Both I've had cops tell me they smell pot in my car when I haven't touched the stuff is years.

Did you blaze up in that car? I've been in nonsmoker cars that smell like cigarette smoke from the previous owner. A cigar jacket smells like cigars even if I haven't smoked in years. My camping gear smells like campfire the even though it has been stored off season. I understand your frustration. But the term "nose blind" may apply in your situation.

Yes the anti cop culture has to change but you're not going to get that until the government decides to change how it uses the police.

You are asking too much. Government changes how it uses police? Police will always enforce laws. Police will always be trained to control a situation first. Contain threats. Ensure safety (which means limiting freedom and self control of suspects and bystanders). Police will always be more armed than the population. Those are the minimal requirements to do the job.

Changing tacits on how to arrest people such as not kneeling on their neck and wanting higher standrds for hiring people is too much?

But sure give up on your Fandom because you lack the nuance to understand that this problem isn't back and white and has been brewing for a very long time

Interesting, the black guys I work with say it’s all BS but the white guy says it’s a problem.

Also the dude who killed George Floyd should have been fired a long time ago

Floyd died of an overdose and health issues. The officer did exactly what he was trained to do but don’t let the facts get in the way.

There is quite a lot of history of cops planting drugs on innocent suspects. Numerous frameups are documented in court testimony made by fellow cops and in cops' own body cam videos.

I was really looking forward to a good news story about white supremacist cops planting drugs on innocent suspects.

Needless to say, I was disappointed. What a load of crap. Like a CNN headline.

I love when people are “fighting prejudice” and then they make Prejudice generalizations of an entire group of people and then get mad about people being prejudice. We see it.

Says the attorney of the cop but hey man continue to bend over backwards for cops using overly aggressive tactics. Even if it wasn't the kneeling that killed him it's still very fricked up. Of course you don't want any of the focus on the cop being a shite bag

The ME said he had a lethal level of fentanyl. That's where the cop's lawyer got the info.

No shat genius. The FBI report is not relevant. I was expecting it to detail incidents about cops planting drugs on suspects(which Whiznut claims) or even white supremacist cops planting evidence, which it didn't.

Here is another example of innocent black people getting harassed by cops and did not commit a crime. But its wrong to stand up for justice, right?

Last paragraph of your shitty link-

quote:

Hill ordered a bond for Walker but he said because he has a felony probation warrant out of Fulton County for cruelty to children, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and a failure to appear warrant out of Hapeville, which resulted in Magistrate Court denying him a bond.

Having a felony warrant for cruelty to children, among other arrest warrants, does not equal "doing nothing wrong ".

As far as I am concerned, every Clayton County cop earns a "freebie" for every 40 hours on the beat.

How do you know he is innocent? Do you know who initiated the struggle? Did he try and fight the cops or did the cops swing first? IMO you need to find out the details before passing judgement.

He did have an outstanding warrant as Deeprig points out.

What does higher standards for hiring people mean and why can we not enforce that at other government levels, too?

As for kneeling, I've been told that it doesnt impede the breathing. But I've never been kneeled on like that nor I have I ever seen it up close. From what I've read, issues with breathing would be likely for people on heavy anaesthetics (fentanyl) but not for anyone else.
