Gas prices are being affected by the restriction of passage through the strait Hormuz which will by any way you look at it will be temporary. Why are you desperately trying to tie anything that isn't positive to Iran?
BTW, I know the answer: TDS & IDS
And I'm not your buddy.

What have I tied to Iran that isn't being impacted by the conflict? The global economy is getting impacted.
Yes the strait plays a part. We can't get it open without ground troops. Or Iran decides they want to open it.
The spike from Russia conflict was dampened from OPEC upping production. How do you think they will up production when they are getting bombed? How will the gas prices come down without more supply? That's why you're seeing talks of releasing sanctions on Russia....which again, makes them billionaires of dollars which is supposed to be the opposite goal of sending our tax money to Ukraine. Try harder to think about it friend

This is temporary. The bombing will stop either because Iran will not be able to any more or we end this. All of this stuff you are throwing up here is temporary and some it has nothing to do with Iran (like interest rates !!
My god are you this dumb or are you deliberately being obtuse??

Our government wasn't founded to have one person define what imminent is
Exactly. Nobody can define it. 350M different definitions does not equal an agreed upon definition.
That is exactly the point.
(Yet only one person's definition technically matters).
So "imminent" is a made up word by the democrats to hide the fact that Trump's actions are because Iran is working towards being a nuclear power. And Trump has been claiming for 40+ years that Iran can not become a nuclear power.
3 months from now, they would have more drones and more ballistic missiles.
24 months from now, they would have more drones and more ballistic missiles.
20 days ago, Iran gathered 40 leaders together and presented themselves as easy targets for an attack. That is called Bravo Zulu.
Has North Korea ever fired missiles at a NATO nation?
Has Russia ever fired missiles at a NATO nation?
Has India?
Has Pakistan?
Iran has fired ballistic missiles at a NATO country on March 26th. Unprovoked.
Just stop trying to play Iran as some neutral country.
Stop trying to compare it as a more passive version of NK.
Firing missiles at a NATO country does affect you and your countrymen directly. And it demonstrates the level of desperation by Iran to destroy anything and everything about western civilization.

What NATO country did they fire a ballistic missile at and check your date or add the year.
Iran has been on the brink of a nuclear weapon for 20 years according to Israel. They were offering an honest offer per two diplomats from our allies. There was zero threat.

Interest rates are most certainly affected. You think adding 200 billion dollars to the deficit doesn't affect rates? Or inflation fears from higher energy costs? The 10 year spiked the day they started bombing.
Iran had their most profilic day of missiles and drones since the first week yesterday. Odd how that is happening when this admin is saying they have destiny all Iranian military sites. Almost like he is a habitual exaggerator
Two weeks to stop the spread vibe coming from this shite. Unfortunately, Iran will decide when it's over, not America

Do you think you can post this nonsense here and not get called on it?

We will see.
You wasted 15 pages to say: I'm against this Iran event because I don't like Trump and I don't like Israel. I'm done, it's obvious that you must have the last word so you can have it.

10 year Treasury yield don't be dense
What was the 30 year 4 weeks ago?
I'm sharing information that is relevant to the ongoing war in the political thread and sharing my opinions. No one is forcing you to read it.

Rates are at a workable level. People will buy and refinance at the current rate. Powell needs to go to prison ......

Lol no one is refinancing now
Though something is going on. Oil going down, sp500 erased all the red and finished green.

3 men were hung by the Islamic regime in Iran today for protesting. Waiting to see how vomitmouth will spin this and blame it on Israel.
Posted on 3/19/26 at 4:05 pm to Bradb5291
No one has said Iran is a country of strong morals. My point has been neither is Israel. Or America for that matter
They got hung for allegedly killing a cop during the protest. A protest that mossad organized
Also, Google what isrealies are doing in the West bank if care about what's happening to innocent people

Olympic Wrestler publicly executed in Iran today. You don't want those people having a military at all let alone a nuke.

Turkey
March 4th
March 9th
And another one intercepted just outside turkey airspace March 13th (as it was approaching Turkey).
Why are you defending Iran as some peaceful nation so desperately?
They literally are the world's leading sponsor of terrorism.
I am struggling to see how any American over the age of 25 doesn't know this.
quote:
They were offering an honest offer per two diplomats from our allies. There was zero threat.
They've been sitting on enriched uranium for at least 14 months.
They said multiple times that they wanted diplomacy. Then negotiations stalled and fell apart.
They had deadlines that came and went. And still they stalled.
What do you think they have been doing this entire time?
Stockpiling drones and ballistic missiles.
If they wanted to give up the enriched uranium two weeks before the bombing began, why didn't they present it? Why didn't they present it at earlier deadlines that came and went?
You are either gullible or a liar.
I dont know if you are eating propaganda from the TDS or Iran itself.
Posted on 3/19/26 at 6:42 pm to meansonny
Had not seen that but yes none hit the ground but we're over turkey airspace. Agree not great.
I'm not defending Iran. I am offended by the decision to start a war with them.
They had zero weapons grade URANIUM and we're not attempting to progress the uranium they had per Tulsi gabbard yesterday. I even posted the video for you.
The negotiations stalled because of Trump's envoy...as I have also shared many times...the diplomats from Britain and Oman said the deal was fair.
Why is it surprising that they have stockpiled weapons?
They did present the uranium man...read this LINK
I'm done wasting my words with. You're not arguing in good faith, you haven't answered where your line is when it comes to extremists countries and us intervention, you don't read material because it goes directly against your neocon warhawk brain.
Agree to disagree.

If you believe anything Iran says you’re an absolute fool. They stall, obfuscate, deflect, and mostly LIE, until they can finally get their hands on the ability to wipe Israel, and possibly the US, off the face of the earth.
I agree with MeanSonny, why are you bending over backwards to say the Us is in the wrong. They are our most hated enemy.

there is no other reason to have 60% enriched uranium, Nuclear Power is generally under 5%, some experimental reactors tops at 20%.
60% is only for nuclear weapons which require 90% or about 14 more days of enrichment. It's harder getting to 60% than going from 60 to 90. They had enough for 11-12 warheads. They were also close to a ICBM that could hit the US. They admitted this themselves.
It was now or never.

They absolutely were progressing the uranium in 2025. 60% enriched U-235.
They have a facility remaining. It wasn't bombed in 2025 for a reason (one that I do not know. Offline? Used for legitimate purposes? I don't know. But you and I know that the facility exists).
quote:

Negotiations have been stalled for 47 years. Deadlines have come and gone. A deal that is not honored is not a fair deal.
Iran held US hostages for 444 days in the 70s.
Iran held US hostages for 781 days from 2009 to 2011.
Iran routinely executes it's own citizens. I say this not to pull sympathy from you. But to emphasize that their society is 100% driven and sustained with power. North Korea, India, and Pakistan are ideals that Iran strives for (while Iraq and Libya are levels they are desperate to avoid). Iran is desperate for a nuclear bomb.
quote:
you haven't answered where your line is when it comes to extremists countries
The line is Iran. What other country sponsors terrorism?
You've referenced several bad actors. None of them sponsor terrorism.
Which is why I haven't responded.
There isn't another example like Iran.
Give a terrorist the means and ability to make a nuclear bomb and I will add them across your line.
quote:
They did present the uranium man...read this
They didn't present it to be removed from Iran.
The US offered to provide the uranium for their reactors with zero ability to enrich.
Your puff piece article ignores the fact that they have 60% enrichment with zero need other than to build 11 nuclear warheads. Because of that, the Trump administration wanted to completely remove their ability to enrich. It was forfeited when they exceeded all need for levels in civil engineering.
They refused.
And they refused to turn over the 60% stockpile.
One thing that I will agree on the article... witkoff is a numbnuts. He is a poor representative.
But that does not cover for Iran's attempt at weapons grade uranium, Irans refusal to stop enrichment, and irans refusal to give up the 60% stockpile.
