I remember when Loganville had an Ingles, a gas station, and a couple of fast food joints. I went back there a few years ago and it grew up. Didn't even recognize it.

Because I work in Atlanta and commuting for 9 years sucked. So wife finished school so... we split the difference. We still look at Athens and Winterville and watkinsville real estate daily.

Can’t live where we want and afford Athens Academy.

Where we are now is still a good little cluster, alot better than anything in Clarke and almost as good as Oconee.

Having children to think about throws a monkey wrench into 99% of things.

Also, mom has stage 11 dementia and dad has cancer so we are a little closer. Also alot closer to wife’s family.

It hasn’t changed in your time there. It’s been that way for decades

Still the good ole boys system unfortunately.

Btw, every school has issues. There's just too many kids at every school to not have them. But Harrison and Allatoona are two of the best in the county/area.

We moved away from the west side of grayson (Lawrenceville address) about 12 years ago.

We loved the parks in gwinnett county. Tribble mill was great. But that literally the only redeeming quality in the county at the time.

Right after we left, the real estate market crashed. And our old neck of the woods went to shite (drug houses filling in the vacant homes).

It can't be that bad right now this many years later. But we got out at a great time and haven't looked back.

Good luck.

West of Grayson is considered snellville not Lawrenceville, you sure you don’t mean East of Grayson?

We were halfway between grayson and dacula. I'm not geographically centered.

Harbins/Alcovy area. We were off Campbell Rd. Due north to Tribble mill

Im due east of tribble mill, on tribble mill rd actually. It is still nice here. If you look at the AJC county by county map of the 2016 election, I live in the last little red strip in Gwinnett. There’s still alot of Jesus and self reliance here , and it is reflected in the standardized test scores of the elementary and middle schools in my cluster of Archer.

We were closer to dacula and grayson than downtown lawrenceville.

Both towns seemed nice.

We still get to dacula for swim meets on occassion.

We've had the talk before. But traffic was a nightmare. Getting from one end of Lawrenceville to the other is worst than the dmv or the dentist office.

Gwinnett County needs to be thrown in the trash and then throw away hall county and most of dekalb after that.

Please expand. If you think Hall Co is even in the same stratosphere of trash that Gwinnett is then you're either associated with some of the local trash or have a rock problem and have only been there to go to Black St to get your fix.

ETA: Or needed some yard work and went and snagged up some $8 hr brown brothers in little Mexico.

I don’t care how long it’s been shite. I started going there for the first time in March of last year and discovered it’s one of the many armpits and buttholes of this state.

There are parts of Gainesville that are tolerable, but it's mostly shite.

The good parts of Hall are outside the city for sure. I'll take Hall over Gwinnett, Forsyth, Clarke or anything ITP in a heartbeat.
