I don't know how this is going down, or when, but I can tell you that I hand-sprinkled a bunch of 25-18-5 on the bermuda this week, waiting for the rain. It finally rained tonight, heavily.

I also got a generic version of flex-seal and sprayed it over the pinhole leak on the sidewall of my lawnmower tire (John Deere LT155).

Furthermore, I have a Pigweed outbreak. Today I gave it all a second coat of grass-safe herbicide, especially around the Creeping Red Fescue I seeded around the shady side of the house a couple months ago. It is doing well, by the way.

The two rose bushes my wife planted by the mailbox aren't looking so good. I bought some rose food and fed them also, the rain tonight hopefully will make them pretty again.

My ugly arse john boat in the back yard might piss off my neighbor, but his son parks his car in the front yard so zero fricks given.

Still trying to figure out what to do about the Klopeks out back. HOA pres on facebook has shown me she is unstable.

How are yall's yards doing?

Just ripped up most of the plants in my front yard and planted about $1K in new shite. Will report back in 3 years when it looks like something

Front yard ... northern exposure or southern exposure?

Did you plan Azaleas, Hydrangias, and/or facsia or oak leak hydrangeas, maybe some dwarf rhododendrons or mountain laurel?

What did you rip out?

Front of the house faces due west.

Ripped out 12 boxwoods that were in front on my windows. All squared up over time. Looked like shite.

Replaced them with coppertone distylium up against the house. Some azaleas in front on them on one side of the door

Then mulched over some grass that was dying due to shade and added rows of Abelia Kaleidoscope, Nandina Flirt and Ice plants (this was all from a landscape plan I had done this spring)

Now I gotta start on the backyard

That was only $1k?

Boxwoods, you hated because they were too big to cut back, or you just hated them?

I've been fighting centipede decline in my front yard and added 20 lbs of sulfur to bring down my ph. Also need to keep amending the soil but there are parts that just struggle.

Funny thing happened. My back yard was spotty at best and after we had some trees taken down the centipede went crazy. Like Kudzu crazy. The shite is climbing into the bushes. I never fertilize or water it either...and the soil is hard red clay. It's doing way better than the front - and both get plenty of sun.

I'm going to send some soil to the Clemson extension to see what the makeup is. After that I'll be in business.

Too big and I couldn't reshape them much. And we wanted to add some color. Everything was green up front

Backyard is a construction zone. Adding a bedroom because I can't stop making babies.

Front yard is a fukin mess due to kids toys that can't be in the back.

I am a bad neighbor this summer. But once this shite is done imma gonna perty up my yard.

Good luck to you all.

2 days after the rain and the fertilizer is already showing improvement on both the roses and the bermuda.

Roses went from zero blooms to 8 blooms.

Grass is thicker, greener. Starting to look real nice clark.

Flex seal not working on the tire, but holding well enough for me to mow half, pump with bicycle pump, finish.

Weeds dying as expected and affected grass seems unharmed.

In a few years I'll have this whole .5 acre lot looking like a magazine.

Zero asians. Unfortunately.

Dawgcountry is owning, but nothing lawn related there, so im not sure we should be scored against him. It's not a porch-off.

But without pics, you and the others are asking voters to trust your word on how crisp and well designed your lawns are.

Meanwhile, there's lawn grass clearly visible in DawCountry pic #2. Hell, he could hang a porch fern and move up a 3 maybe 4 point lead probably.

My barber fought in the Korean War. He said one time to me, he says, if you took all the Koreans in Atlanta (most located in Gwinnett Co) and gave them their own city, it'd be the second biggest city in Georgia. Man, that's crazy.

It's true, and thats where the best schools are. Suwannee. But property values priced us out of Suwannee. Go look at school rankings and demographics around Suwannee. Very high, very asian.

Very nice. Show me the top of the crepe myrtle.

I'm not anywhere close to competing with you this year....
