I will say this. If shite hits the fan and we miss on Eason, we need to 1) find 2 other QBs to sign, and 2) go all in on Brice. We pretty much know Lambert can't do it. Brice is dumb but not scared. Might as well see if he can do it next year while we are OK with a transition year anyway.

I wonder if we can get a JUCO to come in and compete.

and that's where you're wrong. 90% of the time I'd wholeheartedly agree with you, but not this time. If Eason comes, we'll take our lumps the first half of '16 (which honestly, probably wouldn't be THAT much worse than what we'll get from lambert anyway) but by the end of 16 the light should come on like it did for STafford the last part of '06. '17 and '18 we should be dynamic at QB and really set us up for success.

I totally get where you are coming from. But honestly think it sets us back 1 year at 1 position....albeit a critical position. Next years Eason will like to be a 4 year starter with what UGA has to offer. Maybe I'm to optimistic.

I'd be going after Zerrick Cooper regardless

Think Meachum got the Tulane HC job.

Lindsey or Helton.

I would too but he's been committed to Clemson since his freshmen year.

Sure. Watson is still there next season. No one is here. UGA could make a pretty compelling case.

But he'll only sit one year then it's his. Who knows though.

Jawon Pass might be a better option since he's committed to Louisville and he has a true freshmen in front of him.

I hope you're right. He's one of the few I wanted Dannen to hire.

If he goes, it's best he goes far. Wonder if Hawaii needs a DC.

FootballScoop says Meacham isn't even a candidate for Tulane.

I thought it looked like the LSU RB coach was the favorite for that Tulane HC position? Can't remember his name

Someone trying to break the news too soon. Everything I've seen now is people backtracking.

Also say goodbye to Mecole if Pruitt goes to UM.

Edit: Frank Wilson is his name, he's not qualified IMO all he is, is a good recruiter familiar with the NOLA area. Id rather someone who can handle a program over someone who can just recruit.

So I got to thinking about possible hires on Offense for Kirby and I realized Neil Calloway coached with Kirby at Georgia as the OC & Oline Coach back in Richt's early and most successful years. He left Georgia to become head coach at UAB. His Oline coach was WILL FRIEND who actually learned under Neil how to be a great Line coach. (That worked out great b/c he was our best since our last great oline coach...NCALLOWAY!) Neil also was a big impact on Kirby back in the day. Per this article... KIRBY ARTICLE

Guess where he is coaching at now as an assistant again? Western Kentucky!

Does that sound like a case for Tyson Helton and NC as a package deal?

Looking like Rocker won't be retained. Which will have a direct impact on Dline recruiting. Buckle up, going to be a wild ride.

I remember we had a lot of shoulder injuries and constantly had to shuffle our line because of injuries.

I remember our OL being subpar then too. This guy is only remembering 2002. Neil Calloway would be a waste of a staff position.
