I don't necessarily agree with that. Left unchecked, Ears would have Dan Mullen between the hedges. Morehead is the magic behind the scenes. Richt was the hero we deserved, but not the one we needed right now.

I don't know if it's been suggested but I was considering something outside the conventional box. Pat Fitzgerald at Northwestern. Been there a while and had good results with a school that is like tech north. Tough academic standards and the challenge of competing with less talent in a good conference. 40 years old. Defensive guy. Thoughts?

I like Fitz, and would be thrilled to have a guy like him. Definitely has a track record for doing less with more. NWU is a helluva place to recruit athletes who can meet those entrance requirements.
